Very nice dinner. The main dining room was cold. Ate outside in the courtyard. At first it seemed like it was going to be too hot, but they have nice fans that move around the air save we were comfortable. The food was cooked well and the service was great.
Great Italian restaurant with good food, great ambiance and excellent service. We were dining there on Valentines Day and the restaurant was absolutely packed, we had only been able to get a table on the terrace, but this was in fact a positive as the terrace/garden is beautifully decorated and illuminated with a great atmosphere. Despite being full, service was very attentive and the food excellent. On a return visit we sat inside due to the summer heat and humidity in the terrace and bar area. We ordered starters and main courses, all of which were really excellent, particularly the steak tartare, one of best I have ever eaten. The swift and friendly service was at least as good as any restaurant I have been in in the DR and vastly better than most. A little pricey, but certainly no more so than other restaurants of this level. Thoroughly recommended.

As I arrived at Bottega Fratelli, I was struck by the sleek, modern decor. The restaurant was located in the heart of Santo Domingo's upscale Piantini district, and the atmosphere was sophisticated and cosmopolitan.
I perused the menu, which offered a range of Italian dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I decided to start with the caprese salad, which was made with juicy, ripe tomatoes and creamy, tangy mozzarella.
The salad arrived at my table, and I could tell immediately that it was something special. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful, and the dish was beautifully presented. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the sweetness of the tomatoes offsetting the richness of the cheese.
For my main course, I opted for the pasta alla carbonara, which had been made with handmade pasta and topped with crispy pancetta and a rich, creamy sauce. The pasta was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of bite, and the sauce was decadent and satisfying.
But what really set Bottega Fratelli apart was the attention to detail. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive, and every dish was executed with precision and care. The wine list was extensive, with a range of Italian and international wines to choose from.
As I ate and drank, I couldn't help but feel transported to Italy. Bottega Fratelli was a true culinary oasis in the heart of Santo Domingo, a place where the flavors and traditions of Italy were celebrated with a commitment to quality and excellence.
If you're looking for a taste of Italy in Santo Domingo, look no further than Bottega Fratelli. It's a restaurant that embodies the spirit of Italian cuisine, with all the sophistication and elegance you'd expect from one of the world's great culinary cultures.
