Beautiful setting on the beach and lovely staff. However, the food was a bit disappointing - the food was a bit bland and our morning glory was cooked to death. The yellow curry chicken was nice however the prawns in tamarind sauce was very watery (and should be thick and delicious). The setting on the beach is nice but I preferred dining at more authentic Thai places, especially the old school places in Phuket town like Raya. I had a delightful meal at the Boathouse Restaurant in Phuket. Its beachside location offers a great view. Highlights were the refreshing mango and banana shakes, and the delicious vegetarian spring rolls and cauliflower steak. The service was excellent, with attentive, English-speaking staff. While not cheap, at least 1200 baht per person, the experience and quality make it worth it for a special occasion. Highly recommended for its splendid beach view and quality cuisine. Upscale casual dining, beach side with gorgeous decor and even better views! Friendly staff, delicious elevated Thai food and some western options as well. I had the pomelo salad which was refreshing on a hot day and packed with complex flavors. The baby squid was perfectly lightly breaded. They have great free flow wine specials at certain times! Great restaurant right on the beach. Food was of a high standard as were the cocktails. We had the beef cheek green curry and the lamb shank massaman curry. Both were amazing. Finished with the mango sticky rice which was also yum Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It was our most expensive meal in Phuket and we had much better experiences in cheaper places. The atmosphere there is somewhat stiff. You do t get the Thai vibe at all. We were welcomed with complimentary bread and butter. Bread was old. The mains were good but weren’t amazing. You could get same or even better meals on the street or night markets. Overall place is overrated. I wouldn’t go back there. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

As a regular customer of the Boathouse restaurant I am always impressed with the service and food prepared by Chef Jonathan and his team. Yesterday I held a birthday lunch for 16 people and the whole experience exceeded my already high expectations. The food and table decoration were amazing. Delicious Thai food, perfect view and the staffs were great! We are Thai food expert and looking for a restaurant in Kata that offers real Thai food. We found this place by walking around the menu was interesting so we decided to stop by. Staffs were helpful and very attentive, quite busy at dinner time but staffs were smiling and food served real fast. Buree and Mai were the one who looked after us and we got the best time while dine there. We were so impressed and spoke to Mr.Samphan; restaurant manager who were in charge and he was really kind and service minded. He was making sure that we were happy.
