I went into Black Pearl Tea House to try out their Bubble tea. I was really pleasantly surprised when I walked in, besides having a wonderful selection of bubble tea flavors and toppings they also offer some hot bento boxes and steamed buns. Even more of pleasant surprise, they carry a small selection of food staples and snacks I can't find in Bozeman; bean curd thread and some of my favorite rice cracker snacks. I really want to like this place, I do, but it just doesn't cut it. Personally I love boba tea, but every time I've been here it's been SO SWEET. Like, unpalatable. I wish they had like a sweetness scale or something because I get two sips in and then I can't finish my drink. Great variety of flavors, but its overpowered with the sugar. I think this place has potential, but seriously, bring it down a bit. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

yay!!! finally a boba place in bozeman with good boba! everywhere else has hard little beads that taste awful but these are great. we had the classic black and taro tea - can’t wait to come back during the bento box hours and try them out! very kind employee and clean place. side note - the pricing is about $5-7 for the drinks and bento box is $12 in case anyone was wondering! As a Filipino American living in mostly Bozeman, I found it very challenging to connect with my culture but having a bubble tea shop finally open after waiting for a long time is like a dream. I love supporting Asian-owned businesses so I'm so glad I can support you guys. I'm pleased to know that this Bubble Tea makes their tea and cooks their pearls correctly. I hope the quality continues to stay as good as it is now! Coming inside the store made me ecstatic seeing all of the different treats they had set out and looking at the menu. I’m addicted to their bubble tea, they have a large selection of drinks to choose from along with different types of tapioca pearls, bursting boba, and jelly bits. Their customer service is always top tier and it’s very clean inside! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Google Maps really needs to do better with their directions to this place. It opened 25 minutes late, the staff was unapologetic about the delay and then drinks took a long time. The place had a cold and sterile feel to it and none of the items are labeled in English, which is fine, but the least they could do is add something along the shelf next to the price in case American people want to try something. I really enjoy the boba tea and the bento boxes are super good and feel super healthy. And cashless isn’t an issue for me in a continuously cashless world! My only issue is that sometimes they just aren’t open? Was just there at 2pm and they weren’t open, and was there before at noon and they just weren’t open.
