Enjoyed our first visit to The Black Pearl. Small cafe bar with outdoor seating on an almost pedestrian street. ( Access for parking.) Madge and Tima both gone for Sidra. 2.50€ a bottle. Bit sweet but very refreshing. Popular place for Pregos and fries but girls not ready to eat. Might well return to eat. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It's easy to overlook while you're walking by but definitely worth the visit for their veggie samosas. They're delicious! Simple food made tasty. We tried ham and cheese sandwiches and they were nice too. And the fries are maybe the best we've had in Funchal. The server is always friendly and attentive which is a massive plus for the place. We had the best Poncha ever in this hidden gem in Funchal. Very nice staff, good prices and as already mentioned - the Poncha was fantastic! Not only because of the taste but, the "show" around makes it a great adventure! Unfortunately, we found the place only one night before leaving Madeira but, we will return and then we'll also try the food Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is really perfect place if you want to have amazing Madeiran sandwiches with beef. We came here twice and were not dissapointed. The service is very kind. Good luck having a seat here! 😃

The food is sooo tasty and affordable for its location. The service is also fast. We came in Saturday and it's not busy at all, great atmosphere not too far from busy street. 16€ for a two person dinner. Decent menu, the specialty is their "Bolo do caco" sandwich, a kind of pita bread. I had one with steak and all kinds of toppings and fries as a sider. You can get a main course for 3-8€ which will be ridiculously cheap for what you get! Absolutely worth the visit! Nice staff as well and very clean restaurant.

Great prego for a good price considering the location! I was there for lunch with a local and the prego/fries combo was excellent. We paid 7/8€ for prego/fries/softdrink - waiting time was a bit long though, but worth it. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €5–10
