Taste good laing to form your opinion about this bar. Delicious craft beer is worth trying here. This place is known for great lemonade. The spectacular service demonstrates a high level of quality at Dorcher. Enjoy the quiet ambiance here. But in comparison with other restaurants, Facebook gives this place a below average rating.

Place looks really nice and has great music. Outdoor seating is nice (when it's not pouring rain). The servers were super friendly but when we came in, they only had a small portion of the menu - like the finger foods/bar snacks. Also there's no plates, you just eat out of a basket. Food was alright, nothing to come back for. The seats are all bar stools so after a while, it gets a bit uncomfortable. There's wifi here but the servers don't have the password so that wasn't very helpful. Probably a great beer spot but that's not what I came here for so I wouldn't really recommend this place to come eat.
After seeing the raving 5* reviews, and craving a good draught beer, I made my way in one mid evening. Place looks nice, and I had high hopes for good beer and good food.
Welp, if you come from a country where "beer bar" means *beer bar*, then you will be sorely disappointed. Apparently a true IPA doesn't exist in the whole country of Peru. At least not in my experience. I was annoyed that a "beer house" didn't have anything close to an IPA (IBU max of 65 ish, with an ABV of maybe 5.5%). In fact, all they appeared to have on draught was Pilsner. This is insulting in America, as is bottled beer in a draught house.
Besides having an awful beer selection for a pub, let a lone a beer house, the food portions were very small, and their menu was quite limited given the time of day (just before 7p). The chicken tenders I got were laughably small, and borderline black. Besides this, the price was very expensive for what I got, even by US standards. I've gotten far better service, much better food, and way more of it in Peru, for half the cost. Literally, half the cost.
It seems that the further away from Cusco you get, the worse the service gets, the smaller the portions get, and the poorer the quality, as well as much higher prices.
My experience could've been a one-off, but regardless, the experience and food was not great. The atmosphere was dead-feeling, despite being pretty busy. I left hungry and mildly disappointed.
I know my one review won't matter, but there's no way I'd ever recommend this place if you have ever been in a real pub or tap house. Maybe for Peru this is considered good, and if it is, then Peru seriously needs to step up their standards.
Service unfriendly. Asked to move table as sitting at one I preferred but a small group also preferred it!. Limited choicee of beers...only Dorcher trigo on draft. Now down the road in a more friendly bar with a better choice of local beers

By far the best place to go in Oxapampa for a good beer and to watch a game on TV. Located along the main road of Hwy 5. They have 3 large screen TV s and a nice patio. Beers on tap which are made in nearby Pozuzu. Good place to go for a lite bite to eat too. They have great soft pretzels and smoked sausage. Large windows make for easy viewing of the town's surroundings. The girls wear old school German biergaten Oktoberfest garb which adds a touch of Germania ambience to the place.
*Update - they have since changed the Pub name to Bergland while keeping the beer named Dorcher. They have discontinued serving the Pretzel sadly and the french fries are the kind found in your grocery store frozen food section :-(( they have a new flavor of beer, Cranberry, served in bottle and on tap which sadly isnt always available which is confusing. Still a good place to grab a beer and watch the game.
This is the best biergarten in Oxapampa hands down. Good vibe.. good menu.. not too expensive.
