What a fantastic coffee shop! Lots bigger than ours in Jo'burg. Hubby chose the normal bacon-eggs breakfast. I wanted brown toast and grated Cheddar cheese. The toast was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know – crisp and crisp and yum!!!!! I only managed 1 slice – but with honey and cheese – delicious! Snatched some of hubby's bacon and also an egg yolk – ‘cause we love to share. He enjoyed some of my cheese. With an Americano and a cappuccino, our total breakfast cost was R93. Friendly waitress, great spot. Bit hot at 7 am, I used my fan!

Service is non-existant, if you want to order or get the bill you have to go to the counter.
Staff are too busy shouting at the top of their lungs to care that you've been waving your arms around like an inflatable Michelin man for the past 10mins.
They managed to stuff up eggs and bacon, like I am actually impressed. It takes skill to mess up a meal that is so simple. My eggs and bacon were as lifeless as roadkill. Actually, that's an insult to roadkill. Had to douse the meal in tomato sauce to make it palatable. Gotta love tomato sauce topped with bacon and eggs.
The atmosphere is loud (remember the staff are busy screaming and ignoring you), so good luck getting any work or conversation done.
The coffee was alright, based on their extremely low standard. Doubt they ever clean their machine so if you're bacteria or microbe averse, maybe give this one a miss.
If you're thinking "Sheesh, this guy has no life" due to the length of this review, the fact is I am still waiting for the waitress.
I am willing to bet that Jesus will come before my waitress does.

Service here is shocking waitrons are hard to get hold off food is stable and poorly presented
Ordered the salad bellow the olives were soft and soggy the lettuce stale the tamotoes were a day or twice with old.
The customer service is amazing
Food is fresh and well made
Prices are of adequate value
The decor is Cafe-like and vibrant.
I wouldn't came here regularly but for a not so often meal out then I highly suggest it, great working environment if you want to do same work there.
They have a menu of what you expect from a Cafe, the prices are the same as most of the other competitors. It's nothing special but it's a great local Cafe.

Very limited menu compared to the bean tree website. Bad service, waitress basically ignored us after ordering drinks, manager ended up taking our order, the food sat and waited by the kitchen for a while before being brought to the table and the place wasn’t busy. Overall very underwhelming experience, I would not recommend. Rather go to Wimpy across the road. Sad as I’ve been to other Bean Tree’s which had a much bigger menu and far better service.

To be honest, I found this spot to be a bit generic and unimaginative. The layout is nice and it is very well located. My expectations might have been a bit high, but based on the level of store that this is associated with, being next to Mills Spar, i was disappointed. The coffee was very average and lacked a solid flavour. The menu was also a bit sad and I did find that the service lacked some good old 'Wow, this is awesome'.

My Fiance was served raw chicken, we complained and told them to take it back. They offered to make a new one but just microwaved the chicken until it was cooked. Completely disappoint and very disgusted. If you love life, for God's sake, don't eat here.

Shop is located in a nice spot however found R80 for a toasted sandwich a bit too much and so only opted for a Milkshake, they had run out of the ice cream for the Milkshake and I soon discovered they purchase the cheapest ice cream from Spar next door to make it. Think my daughter amd I would have rather gone to Milky Lane next door at Spar. Anyway we all learn as we progress through life.
Nice size restaurant with friendly staff. The food is really good value for money and very freshly made. Good coffee choices served with a generous biscuit. The very high ceiling/roof and design makes the restaurant very noisy indeed. It wasn't easy having a normal conversation. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and is situated very close to wheelchair parking.
