Lovely!! The ladies who helped us we're very sweet. (Pun intended 😉) The cookies were amazing!! I find that a lot of bakers don't put enough salt in desserts. These we're perfectly salted. The Peanut Butter and chocolate were Amazing!! We will be back!!
Delicious baked treats, breakfast, and coffee. Everything I've had here is amazing. The staff is friendly. It wasn't crowded when I was there. They also sell dough so you can have fresh baked cookies at home! There is a bathroom in the store.
Tiny, yet full of space. Beautiful, minimalistic design yet warm and cozy. Very nice and informed staff - willing to recommend. Great espresso. Great fig bars. Loved it.

Best scone in the SF Bay Area! Baked goods (muffins, cookie bars, tea cakes and more) are delicious!

I was so excited to order cupcakes for a baby shower I was hosting. I had tasted Batter's cupcakes at someone else's party and they were AMAZING. I knew they would be the hit of the party. I ordered 20 chocolate with cream cheese and 20 chocolate with butter cream for $150. The order was ready on time and packed appropriately. However, when the guest of honor bit into her cupcake, she said it tasted "odd." She said she couldn't describe it and asked me to taste it, so l did. I was mortified, it was gooey in the middle and the chocolate butter cream tasted somewhat oily! The cream cheese icing was good, but the cupcakes over all were subpar. I've ordered cupcake/cakes from all over the city and have never had cupcakes taste this way. They were not enjoyable and with each bite, I kid you not, the cupcake literally fell apart! We had a lot left over. Thank God I purchased cookies from another baker. Batter Bakery no longer has cupcakes on their actual menu, maybe I should have just ordered a cake. After raving about them, I was so embarrassed.

I called and ordered some scones to be picked up the following day. When I showed up, the scones were all wrapped and ready to go, but through no fault of the staff, everything else that could go wrong, did. It was just one of those days, and if you’ve ever worked retail, you know what I mean. Fortunately, the young woman who helped me could not have been more gracious, and rose above all the problems like a real pro! Previous experiences at the bakery have all been positive, although this stands out as exceptional! I highly recommend this great neighborhood business. And by the way, the scones are fantastic!
I was looking to order a birthday cake in SF and came across this bakery and saw its great reviews. Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to them. I placed an order for a cake 48 hours in advance per their site. The girl on the other line tells me it should be ready around noon on Saturday. Fine. Saturday afternoon I am there around 12:30, look at the cake, it's beautiful, everything seems fine. When I get home and take it out of the box I realize the cake had been FROZEN!!! YES, FROZEN!! I am still taken aback that a bakery would think it is acceptable to charge $33 for a cake that was made the night before and thrown in the freezer. Call me crazy but the point of pre-ordering a cake is to get a fresh, fluffy, hopefully moist cake, NOT a hard, crumbly, refrigerated one. My reason for not rating them 1 star is for the decor and the little flavor. What is most disappointing is that there's really nothing that can be done at this point, the occasion is over and somewhat ruined. I don't recommend.
Cookie happy hour here is heaven. 2 for $5 and these cookies are huge and delicious. My boyfriend likes getting espressos to go. Extremely minimal seating so don't count on dining in. And take a punch card so you can earn a freebie!
Server could be less stand offish. Ordered an Americano, tasted like the beans were burned. Should have tasted it before I left a tip!! Doh! In the end I paid 5.oo to take a sip of horrible coffee, then throw away.
