This Review is for delivery only I'm from the NYC area so I hold (American) Chinese food to a pretty high standard. The Egg Foo Young and chicken with broccoli are on point. It seems like they have a significant number of options that are on the menu for delivery that they don't put on the cafeteria line and that's definitely the way to go as they make it fresh for your order. I've driven by this place for years never stopping in, I finally decided to change that. I placed my order online. For some reason the online menu is extremely limited. When I went to pick it up, I saw they had many more options available and added one of them. I'm assuming everything I ordered was pulled from the pre-made options instead of fresh. I got home to eat and everything was dry, like sitting under heat lamps for hours, kind of dry. That was really unfortunate. As with every restaurant I try for the first time, I get a sampling of their offerings. In this case, I got the teriyaki chicken sticks, Chinese donuts, Sesame chicken, chicken and broccoli (not on the website), egg drop soup. The egg drop soup was by far the best thing I tried, probably because it couldn't have dried out. I don't know if I went at a bad time, no time should be a bad time at a restaurant, but you know how that goes, or if they were having a bad day. If the food was freshly made, I think it may have had real potential or at least be much better, especially for the cost. I'll probably give it another shot, maybe around opening or lunch time. Picked up order,got home was not what we ordered no receipt in the bag. Was told we could get our money back and didn't have to bring back the food. Couldn't get back there until Monday. The prices are pretty low. I guess you get what you pay for. The noodles seemed like they were actually spaghetti noodles. The rice may have been purchased at a discount because it was little tiny bits. The sesame chicken and orange chicken seem to be mostly hard crunchy deep fried batter pieces with very little meat in them. If I were to visit again I would purchase items that were not breaded and would skip the rice and the noodles. I love bamboo Express! I've been going to this restaurant since I was in high school. My friends and I call it $1.50 scoop, which is still pretty accurate to this day. My favorite dishes include the white rice, egg fried rice, hot pepper chicken, hibachi chicken, and you have to add the egg rolls. Bamboo Express has consistency in their food every time you go in you know what you're getting and it is a great price as well. Normally the food here is excellent, this time the egg drop soup was pretty flavorless an not hot, but was Luke warm- I feel it wasn't complete so.i didn't finish it. Awesome fresh food all the time. I love to swing by here for lunch when I work all day. Ive been coming here for over a year now and its consistent. I miss the old owners. Ever since the younger guys took over, the food quality has gone down. Servings are a bit smaller too due to smaller take out boxes. The wontons have also gotten way smaller but still taste great. They really hold out on the sweet n sour sauce. It's a 2oz cup that's filled 1/4th of the way so it's barley an ounce. Have to get like 4 each time I go in. Idk why they just don't fill them better. No more house made spicy mustard either which is a bummer. They're very fast though and get people in and out quickly plus the price isn't bad at all. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

They do not close at 9:30 p.m. I got there at 9:21 p.m., amd the door was open but the aigns were off, still 10 minutes of business to serve before closing to customers. They need to liat their closing time as 9:00 p.m. so their customers don't waste time driving there. I ahpuld atill be able to get a hot meal at 9:21 p.m. if they close at 9:30 p.m.
