Wonderful little establishment. Didn't eat but had a drink with my partner and the vibe was so lovely! The waiters are on the ball and some rather talented too! (karaoke was taking place when we went). Definitely would recommend.
R90 for 3 tiny patagonian calamari pieces stuffed with Feta that's so salty that it's impossible to enjoy even the tiny portion that's plated. Surely one can't justify R30 per piece smaller than my thumb.... cocktails are tasty but I think there's less than a shot of alcohol in there.
My daughter wanted to go to Bamboo with her friends for her 14th birthday. I phoned a day before, and they were so accommodating, offering to push tables together and everything. We can just show up!
And wow, how amazing was this experience! The super friendly waiter ( unfortunately I did not get her name) welcomed us and also brought my daughter flowers for the table. I didn't stay, only came later to settle the bill. Once I got home, my daugher told me that the owner was so kind as to offer her a desert, beautifully decorated with "Happy Birthday" on her special day!!! How amazing is that? This totally made her day!
This is why our little town is so amazing, and why restaurants like Bamboo Beach truly are hidden gems!!
Visit them, become a regular even if you are not from here!! It is soo worth it!!
Bamboo Beach Restaurant is one of the best kept secrets of Sandbaai / Onrus area - with a true vacation feeling - lovely food and atmosphere, laid back and relaxed with loads of parking and lovely food. A great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Super friendly staff and great service.
The restaurant is an absolutely lovely place and all of the staff were incredibly nice, our waiter, Kyle, treated us with the best service, and the food was impeccable. ESPECIALLY the Smokey pizza!
Nestle next to green melkout trees in Sandbaai I dine at this little germ of a place. Service is good and friendly and the loo is clean and acceptable. We hand the chicken livers and I had snails and pumkin balls. With snails you get this delicious butter, herb and garlic sauce with it. Thats part of your dish. But given toasted bread with it does not work. Bread thats toasted does not soak up the the sauce as untoasted. Asking for additional untoasted bread you get billed exstra to enjoy your dish. Had the most incredible cambruley.
Always a fantastic pet-friendly experience at Bamboo Beach Restaurant. Wolfie agrees...he is particularly in love with their burger patties, on this day he had to settle for a few pieces of calamari 😁
