Delicious! 🥰 Came on a weekend for breakfast. The café was calm, not crowded but popular with a constant stream for takeaways. This place embodies many good qualities of a fine bakery. The café is welcoming, rustic and an aroma of baked breads fills the air. On entering, you feast your eyes on the delicious looking pastries on the counter and get lost with imaging what the different breads on lining the walls would taste like. I had a savoury focaccia with chicken that was bursting with flavors with each bite. The brewed coffee was medium bodied and smooth. Cool fresh airconditioning in the shop and comfortable to linger awhile on the wooden park benches and enjoy the soft music. Friendly staff who obliged a warm up of the bread and came around to top up the coffee. Indoors and outdoors seating with a street view.

Cozy and cute bakery/coffee shop in the heart of Fredrikstad. My personal favourite place to relax and enjoy sweet pastries. A highly recommended place to visit!

Bakfickan in Fredrikstad offered a warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by excellent food and coffee. The sandwiches were fresh and delicious, but the pastries truly stood out, with their perfect balance of flavors and textures. The well-brewed coffee rounded out a delightful experience. Staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall charm. Highly recommended for a quality coffee break!

Delicious pastries, always fresh and brilliant place for the weekends. Very friendly service also, inside seating is a bit crammed however.

In a land of great bakeries this has to be the best. Tasty grain bread, crisp seeded flat bread and sweet buns based on the buns you will find in most bakeries but improved.
