Great view of the ocean and great cocktails. The not so great: Arrived and received Menus. After waiting a bit I had to go look for a waiter( as we wanted to order a cocktail) and none seemed to be in sight. Eventually got a waiter for the Cocktail menu, the waiter was sweet when she attended to us, the restaurant was not busy at all, we were 4 tables. Decided to leave after our cocktails, as we weren't attended to after we received our drinks or check if we'd like to order anything else to drink or a meal. Walked to the front desk to pay. We really enjoyed our evening. We celebrated a special birthday. The food was great and the service too. Monica our waiter made a lot of extra effort to accommodate us. She offered to take pictures for us without us even asking and she organised a blanket for our toddler from the hotel staff after I tried and was unsuccessful myself. They have an extra glass room for the kids to play in, with some toys and a tv for cartoons. The food was great. We will be back!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The Food was outstanding. We were all very satisfied with our meals. The food is delicious. It is a bit expensive but it's worth paying a little bit more. The service was good, the atmosphere is amazing. The waiters are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend. Food was great. Their meat cooked to perfection. Their mash potatoes was a let down though. The atmosphere was horrible considering how great the decor is, lots of empty spaces makes you hear everyone else's conversations. Amazing views with a calm atmosphere and great food. Waiter was super friendly and very professional. Food was out of this world, we had creamy garlic mussels for starters, pasta carbonara and prawn stir fried rice for mains. The only 2 good points about this restaurant amongst the many constructive ones are: 1. The area where we dined in was amazing, it is sea facing, you can hear the waves crashing in 2. There was one incident where the staff had been very thoughtful to give us a bigger tea pot on our second order of Rooibos, yes SECOND order of Rooibos in 30minutes where she could have poured us more hot water and instead have to reorder the drink This restaurant really could improve in many ways especially on their operations. Very Slow Food Operations - waiting time for any food or drinks take at least 30minutes from point of order to collection. We ordered chips and it took them 2 hours to get it ready. We thought that the waitress forgot about it but it turns out she remembered when we tried calling for the bill and was about to leave and told us that chips have not arrived yet. That was 1 hour 50minutes in. Poor Food Quality - worse part, when the chips arrived after 2 hours later, it was very oily and soggy. We saw it and just asked for the bill. Would have given it 1 more star on food quality if we hadn't been served this. The rest of the food that we ordered - creamy mussels (starters), carbonara (entree), and hake (entree) were average. But made worse because it came out so late and food was already cold. It took so long between the entrees and starters that we almost forgot what our starters were. Service staff needs to severely improve - food ops and quality is already poor but to cap things off, service staff couldn't manage the service. Waitress was rude when we asked her for hot water ,instead told us we need to order a new pot of tea. Overall Atmosphere - Every single family around us had a bad experience with either the food ops, taste or staff (not exaggerating). It looks great, but thats about it. Service was poor. Wine on tap came out fizzy (fermented). I was asked to tell the bar person what was wrong with the wine, which I did. They seemed a little confused when I was telling them a merlot wasn't usually fizzy, and it tasted terrible. Oh, and you can't charge the bill to your room either, as the main restaurant is not "connected" to the hotel We decided there were too many red flags at the drinks stage, so we left before it got worse. But the manager came back to us and said that another woman was drinking the wine and hadn't complained. Therefore implying it must be me. She hadn't actually asked the other woman what she thought of the wine. Anyway, avoid this place, plenty of better options out there. Had amazing food and cocktails. BUT the waiters need serious training. When she brought our drinks she dropped my cocktail. Then she took our food order and only ordered half of what we asked for with a response of “did you want the poppers”. I guess if we asked for it we did. She brought our salads without bringing us cutlery. I had to go ask another waiter for it. We asked for the bill and she took away our food - without us realising. And we wanted to take it in a takeaway. Really not impressed! Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

We had a fantastic dinner at Bahia. We enjoyed the Prawns and the Kingklip - delicious. A special thanks goes to Lunghi providing fantastic service and making guests feel welcome and special.
