Absurd prices!
Came here for decades. This place used to be super cool. Fresh, very tasty bagels in a nice historic building downtown.
Now it's a luxury bagel money-squeezing shop.
Quality not even close to where it was years ago.
Questionable customer service.
That in the photo is what a $15 sandwich looks like. With coffee you'll hit $20!

I love the bagels! I've taken them to family gatherings and given them as gifts. Try a toasted rosemary/sea salt bagel with Italian spread. So delicious! As others have said, the indoor dining experience is lacking coziness and could use a refresh, but the quality of the bagels keeps me coming back.

Went in for the sole purpose of getting a breakfast bagel and it turns out they don't offer bacon or sausage.
???
How does a bagel place that's been around since 1985 not have two of the most basic breakfast sandwich ingredients? I've never heard of such a thing.
Very disappointing. Wound up walking a couple doors down to Avenue Bread where they have all the ingredients you expect from a bagel place.
Everything looked and smelled good and they were friendly so I guess I won't give it less than three.
Must try if you are in Bellingham. Specially rosemary salt with Italian cream-cheese. Too yummy

Atmosphere is cold and uninviting. Cases empty, menu board hard to read, seemed dingy and sad, almost like a forgotten place. Property way too big for the size of business. Coffee tasted like truck stop coffee, bagels lacked inherit flavor, they were bland and were overly chewy for non-traditional bagels. Traditional bagels are chewy due to being boiled before baking and have a bit of tang. These were just flavorless. Sandwich mediocre, salmon lacked flavor and should have red onion, not white, wrong flavor profile. Husband felt much the same about his breakfast bagel and wished we had gone next door to Avenue. No one greeted us when we entered and interaction with order taker seemed very detached, adding to the slightly eerie feeling of sadness I mentioned above. Very over priced for quality of food. Will not be returning.

This place has been a fixture in the downtown billing area for as long as I can remember and I have lived here almost 23 years. They have a great selection of 10 to 12 varieties of bagels, with another 10 or so varieties of cream cheese. And they have at least eight or 10 different bagel sandwiches they can make, ranging in everything from breakfast to lunch. They have a limited supply of baked goods. They also carry my favorite kombucha, made by kombucha town here in Bellingham. There is plenty of room for seating, but it can get a bit busy around the lunch hour. So plan your time accordingly.
I have really enjoyed visiting the Bagelry for more years than I care to remember & have never been disappointed! This day, the employees seemed distracted, but I still got my order in a decent amount of time. The bagels are excellent & I love the Italian cream cheese!

Cute and cozy! Really enjoyed sitting in for breakfast. Employees are really nice and friendly. The farmers scramble and the garlic bagels were amazing! Definitely will go back.

Staff is nice I guess but the bagels were seriously disappointing. Barely any toppings and they are super dense. I lived in and around NYC so I guess my expectations are somewhat high but I’ve lived in other places on the west coast and have found much better bagels than these. Time to up your game!

One of my favorite underappreciated features of a bagel and cream cheese is that you can write a message in it. For example, I missed my friend and I wrote her name in my bagel so I could remotely experience the great joy of going with her to a bagel-having dining establishment, despite the distance between us. You can do this too! Five stars
