Avri is part of the new Amber hotel, easily the most luxurious accommodations in Kampot. The restaurant has delicious food, very friendly and attentive service, and most unusually, a good wine list. And on top of that, the wine list has an extensive white wine selection, something lacking in SE Asia (surprisingly, since the food pairs best w whites).
The pricing is high, though. Entrees will run you $30 and the European white wines will run $45-65. Basically like a restaurant in the US. This is my favorite restaurant in Kampot for sure.
And of course it has air conditioning.

Besides the really pricey menu items, the food and service here was undeniably exceptional; the waiters and waitresses were always by our sides ready to serve. We wanted to eat khmer food that wasn't on the menu but the chefs were really flexible and they prepared us food that did indeed exceed our expectations- except for one of the egg dish that was a tad bit too salty. Otherwise, I'd say this restaurant is pretty decent.
