We visited in an extremely busy time today, so I can understand some issues. The restaurant was full to the rim. One aspect we experienced was how dirty everything was. Tables were not cleared once. The table was sticky, and underneath bloody napkins were lying around. By then, we couldn't stomach to order any food and just had drinks. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Went there for the pensioners special...!? Wife had the special: Hake, chips & white wine. I had to try the beef burger (double of course) and what a surprise! 500gr of pure beef ground patties! We popped in on our way back from the beachfront. The vibe is good and the gravel floor gives the place a unique feel and atmosphere. It probably gets hot there in the summer because it was a sunny winters day and it was hot inside. The drinks are very well priced compared to other places. The food was awesome. We ordered a bucket to share and that was more than enough for us. The only downside and the loss of a star, is the time it took for our order to arrive. We waited quite long when the place was not really packed. I liked the braai taste of the meat though.

The food is good and the vibe is great. We were there last evening and there was a live show as well. The portion sizes differ. I had a full plate of food, my dad had a MASSIVE burger and to our surprise the Portuguese roll was a bit small. The ribs on my mom's plate were apparently chewy and the waitress let us down. Kept forgetting things and taking her time with everything, but it was busy so it's probably why she was a bit confused. Will come again, though. Hopefully next time will be better in terms of service and timeliness. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

In the 8 years I've been here, in the Garden Route, I've never had such excellent fish. The fish was prepared over the open fire in front of me. Very rustic but relaxing. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I struggled to push a wheelchair.

As a local I have had many wonderful experiences and always have recommended your restaurant to friends. Last night, however was a total disappointment. We arrived at 7pm to have our usual pensioners special and brought younger friends with only to be told that the special ended at 5pm. We ordered hake and chips and waited an hour only to be told they ran out of hake. Half an hour later the 'hake' and chips arrived. What a disappointment, it tasted old and rubbery and my suspicion is that it was not hake but a substitute (tasted like gurnet). Very disappointing and embarressing Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5
