The Amboseli cultural camp is a fantastic place with an amazing host and, if the sky is clear, Kilimanjaro view. We were there in June 2023. The camp is located on a large plot of around 100x200m where there is a main building that may house other guests and the camp with two small tents and a toilet building with a cooking place. All primitive but everything is there. The area has a fence and a guard, but at first impression that is only necessary for curious kettle. The host is Brian, a fantastic positive and intelligent Masai that loves nature and philosophizing about it(including human nature). His love for nature is also the reason that he does what he does. He told us that he worked at a safari resort and that he learned there that Europeans love primitive camping when on holiday. Then he got to know the owner of the land where the camping is located while enjoyng the sunrise there so they started working together. The hike that Brian, my girlfriend and I made was beautiful, we saw forests, smugglers from Tanzania, shepherds, corn fields and all without encourering any other tourists: sensational for us! A unique exerience altogether that I can definately recommend! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
How to get there? Google shows two locations under the same name, but the one closer to the A5/C102 main road is the right one! Do not follow GoogleMaps! It’s a trap! :) Driving from Nairobi on the A5/C102, turn right a few meters after the second C103 junction (C102 and C103 have two junctions a few hundred meters apart) to a dirt road where you can see a rock painted white. From there just follow the white rocks (it’s sometimes a bit confusing but not impossible) for another 1.5-2 kms till you reach the big steel gate in front of you.

Lovely place. View of Mt. Kilimanjaro is spectacular. Its best visible early morning
The fact you are right next to the great Kilimanjaro and have the most scenic views is very cool. Facilities are basic but generally serene, modest camping with nice sunset not far from the park.
The campsite should be advertised better. There is latrine and showers. Very safe place and people are there to help you get firewood for campfire and they watch over your stuff while you go out for day tours. Nearby Kimana or Loitokitok town has food and drinks so you don't have to come fully prepared, they also have an option to cook for you at a decent price. Kilimanjaro is very near and we have good views from here, you can hike the streams of Kilimanjaro with the team from here at a reasonable cost. But overall, a very pleasant stay.
