Wonderful restaurant with plenty of old-style charm. Food was great and affordable. Some nice beers and cider available too. Probably the best place to go in the area. I was here in mid-July, the weather was great!!! ☀️ Price per person €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A place with a really nice & friendly service and a Latvian, family-owned atmosphere (counting the music and the look of the place) Took two beers - 3.50€ each Fried shrimps - 5€ (portion was adequate) A chicken shashlik with vegetables - 12€ And a chicken fillet with cheese and spicy potatoes - 13.50€ Overall, the food was tasty and could feel that it was made “from heart”. 😄 Few minuses - the potatoes weren’t spicy at all, more like just with a paprika powder. Also, it was a bit cold in the place, although they lit the fireplace. Overall rating - 7/10: The service from the guy was friendly and we felt really welcomed there The food is fresh And also, if you’re lucky enough, there may be a cat sitting next to you!
We found this authentic traditional Latvian tavern during a January blizzard while walking from Majori station. We encountered a lovely warm welcome from the bartender and a roaring log fire. We enjoyed excellent local beer and food at reasonable prices. Would thoroughly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Decent drinks and food menu, the team here is very nice and attentive. Food costs less than half of everything nearby and tastes as good if not better, highly recommended the shashlik and pancakes with ham and cheese. For desert pancakes with Jam was the best option. The first time for me to eat Elk meat, they served it as burger patty the taste was more on the bland side but the hefty serving of salad on the side made it all better, I also tried the mushroom soup so so hearty, had a Latvian beer and it was all awesome. The waiter was very pleasant and made sure we stayed warm.
Very cosy place and a welcome escape from the cold weather! The staff are friendly and the drink selection is good. They even have a real woodfire and a resident cat called Pekainis 🐱 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great service, very cozy atmosphere, authentic Price per person €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The courses were all good (despite my pancakes were a bit burned). But when I asked them the soup of the day they told me ‘peas’ ‘just peas without meat?’ ‘Yes’ —> everything but peas and with meat. The pancakes were with ‘ham and cheese’ and since I don’t eat meat I asked them if the ham could be substituted with something else and they said no, but c’mon don’t you have any vegetable? So I ate them only with cheese (but at least they were very tasty). Despite that, the service was clean and precise. The price a bit high compared with the portion.
Nice place, it looks like your grandparents house and I like it! The food is good, I get the elk burger with French fries and apple strudel with ice-cream. I really appreciate it! Price was very fair
Pub is run by friendly people. Tasty solianka and very good elk sausages. The beer recommended by the service also met expectations. 5/5
