Decent wood fire pizza with friendly staff, 9.5/10 for the overall experience. Calzone and gelato is great, one of the best. Not too enjoy the bar stool though: bit too tall and not leveled, being a torture to my butt. But hey, at least food is good. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This place exceeded all of our dining expectations. It was a packed night and we had 9 people in our group. Our first time here and was beyond impressed at the waitstaff (the best I've ever come across!) who somehow managed to get all of our orders and drinks down to a tee by memory, super friendly, confident, attentive and just overall amazing. We had a mix of the entree, pizza and pasta mains and then somehow managed to squeeze in desserts which we were stoked that we got as they were just as good. The whole night was one of the top dining experiences we have all had in a long time. Thank you thank you Alessandro staff, chef, all. The establishment has only gone upwards since it moved to Joll road. Very good atmosphere. The restaurant is lit up brilliantly from the outside and has a very Italian feel ok the inside. Our server was polite and always arrived at the right time to order and deliver the food. We had a large-ish group of 8 people and were served in a timely fashion. The food was fantastic and very good price for what we got. The pizzas taste authentic and are exactly as described on the menu. I will certainly go here again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The vibe of the restaurant is really great! The staff is friendly, kind, and welcoming too. However, I find the food to be overrated and average, to be honest. The hype surrounding the restaurant is too much for my taste. Additionally, there aren’t many options available, neither in sides nor in the main course. The cocktails are also average. Good food. Good ambience. Would come back here for the pizza. The crust was just the right texture and thickness. We had the Neapolitan. A little too salty with the anchovies. My husband and I took some of them out but it might be a preference thing… I would prefer if the pizza didn’t have too many toppings. It makes it too complicated and too many different flavors going on. However, I was still pleasantly surprised by how the pizza bread turned out so I would definitely come back and try the other pizzas on the menu. Tiramisu was also not too bad. Most importantly, the servers here were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth the drive all the way from napier for dinner :)

We had takeout. The meatballs and the puttanesca. Excellent quality. Delivered exactly on the estimated time to prepare - allowing us a 15 minute walk to purchase a bottle of local wine. Both dishes were of very good quality, and kept their heat to be hot to the taste 10 minutes later at our Airbnb. Server was friendly and helpful, and checked with kitchen about cook times, rather than guess. Place was bustling and lively at around 6 of the evening. Note, no bookings. Authentic Napoletana pizza. The lasagna and other pasta dishes are delicious too. Great atmosphere. I'd totally recommend the Nutella pizza for dessert, you'll be surprised. Food was great and decor/atmosphere felt very authentic Italian. The woodfired pizza was the perfect amount of chewy and toasted, with that classic wood char.
