My visit to Alcove on the beautiful island of Koh Phangan was overall a delightful experience. The highlight of the venue was undoubtedly its vibrant and captivating fire show, which added a unique touch of excitement to the evening. The atmosphere at Alcove is genuinely pleasant, with a charming French owner who adds a personal and welcoming touch to the establishment.
On the culinary front, while the offerings showed promise, there is room for improvement. The seafood platter, a key item on their menu, was unfortunately overcooked, detracting from its potential. This was a minor letdown in an otherwise delightful menu. The food quality didn't quite match up to the high standards of the ambiance and entertainment.
Price-wise, Alcove sits on the higher end, but not excessively so. However, it's worth noting for wine lovers that due to the hefty tax on wine in Thailand, indulging in a few bottles can quickly escalate your bill – a lesson we learned first-hand!
In summary, Alcove offers a great experience with its exceptional fire show and congenial setting. While the food could see some refinement, the overall experience is definitely worth it for anyone visiting Koh Phangan. A great spot for an enjoyable evening out!
I enjoyed visiting this restaurant. Great sunset views and ambiance. I recommend passiont fruit gin cocktail, whole grilled fish and smoked duck salad. There was a live performance that gave extra touch to the whole experience. We ordered few cocktails, fruit shake, 2 beers, 4 dishes and came to maximum of 100 euros. Worth every penny.
Alcove is simply the must for a sunset dinner while on the island, another level. Beautiful vibes, great design of the place, music is always great, performances happening often as well as live music. They serve international dishes and have good wine selection. The staff is very welcoming and pleasant as well. But be aware that during high season getting a nice table may be challenging and it’s better to book a spot in advance
Very beautiful place for your fancy dinner! Book a table for evening and you have a chance to catch a very pleasant live concert with classic European love songs or a long fire show on the water! Food is tasty (especially a cheese/meat plates with wine), service is good, hosts of this place usually greet guests and have a little chats. Very friendly place with the bohemian freedom vibes. This place has just one drawback - TOO loud music. If you come in company of more than one person, you will not have any chance to hear each other, because a music is very loud and tables are quite big.

Karine & Mel are the gorgeous owners of L’alcove . Amazing restaurant with nice view, delicous food & wine& coctails. Karine & Mel are so hardworking, they deal with everything & every guest . You really feel special. We went for dinner twice a week. We enjoyed beautiful sunset, live music & performances of the dancers. The prices are normal , worth every penny. Many thanks to Karine & Mel & their team 💐 We would like to come again next year ✨🙏🏼.
May be the number one place I would like to come again, in Ko Phangan. On the shore, fancy place, nice ambiance, good food and drinks. Dance show, fire show, all good. Service not bad but prompt. I assume prices are higher than anywhere else on the island, but the food is good accordingly. The armchairs on the sea side are not comfortable

Being there was genuinely enjoyable; it's a place where you can escape from the world, relish good food, enjoy live music, all while overlooking a secluded beach.

Definitely on the pricey side but everything they serve here looks and is so delicious. Great vibe and cool ambiance all around the restaurant, right on the beach. If you have some extra money to throw at a delicious meal and cocktail this would be a good place for it.
