Very bad service as the staff are directed to force their food on people once they lay their eyes on anyone. They even start to prepare drinks mezes and meals for people without them asking. The manager himself is more than rude, unprofessional and impolite. I would never visit this place even if it was the only one in that area. If you want your visit to Lebanon to be pleasant and fun, make sure not to get close to this so called restaurant.
My family had an incredible experience. Just for context, my mother-in-law, who is in her late 80s is an amazing Lebanese cook. She wrote her own cookbook. I've also lived in Lebanon for the past two and a half years. I'm well acquainted with Beirut and mountain style cooking. Now let me review my experience with Al Arzeh restuarant. We ordered MANY dishes...tabbouli, rocca, baba ghannouj, hommos, stuffed grape leaves, cheese rolls, the local version of kibbeh (zgharta), mixed grill, French fries, coffee, and araq. The meat was exceptional. The chicken and beef cubes were very tender and tasty. The kufta was among the best I've ever had. The tabbouli was Beirut style and they made it without wheat due to allergies. It was very good. I ordered rocca for my daughter (a vegetarian). To my surprise it was really enjoyable. The fries were handmade. The baba ghannouj and hommos were fresh and tasty. My adult children really liked the cheese rolls. We ordered more. The grape leaves were the only thing that were less than I wanted them to be. The leaves were a little tough and there seemed to be too much leaf to stuffing ratio. The araq was very good my husband bought a bottle to go. They even made me a homemade nescafe. It was very tasty. My whole family had a wonderful experience. The service was terrific.
Delicious homemade lebanese food, have a meal while looking around the forest of Cedars of God.. Friendly staff, family business mainly... The owners serve and the wife cooks, the brother is the manager.. Topical village people of north Lebanon, very welcoming, hygienic kitchen
Wide variety of local dishes, excellent quality and taste. Convenient location beside the Cedars of Lebanon forest entrance. Beautiful cedar tree growing through the patio.
