We waited 30 minutes, requesting our food to be made fresh. It was was made by who I found out to be the GM, and he never wore gloves in preparing my food as I watched at the counter. The fish was literally made fresh but had particles and dirt from oil that had clearly not been changed in a good while. So, sadly we returned the food and asked for a refund. The counter top at the register was broken and setting on the floor. When we asked about it while wait on our food and the friendly girl said it has been "broken a long time!" Terry (GM) please don't respond with "We're very sorry about this experience. We truly appreciate your feedback and will make sure this is addressed with the team here. Thank you" You probably have a lot on your plate as a manager, but seem to have a good team to help you clean up and fix your establishment and lead them following Serve Safe guidelines. It doesn't cost much to clean and provide clean service to your guests. We will be looking forward to seeing implemented improvements on our next trip through Kansas. Got 2 Fish Tacos, with a side of Fries, order of clams, crab cake & coleslaw. All of it was great, service and workers were attentive, kind and helped answering questions. Worst service I have ever received in my life. Went to the drive thru only one car in front of me. He pulled to the window where they took his order. I waited at the speaker no one ever ask me to wait or said anything. So once the cat pulled away I pulled to the window and was denied service unless I went back around behind the other cars in line. When I stated I didn't think the speaker was working he told me I needed to learn to be patient and to go around and he would take my order.

We were driving through hays and thought we would stop for a burger. The food was great but portions were small (especially compared to what they used to be). Only two employees there but they were friendly enough and worked quickly. Pretty run doe facilities but overall not terrible. We were also bummed there was no dine in Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

They have combined Long John Silvers and A & W restaurants. Nice for those who don't like fish, because they could have a burger! Fast food.

1 Is the lowest I can give...Never been treated so rudely. Food was cold and nothing but grease. No napkins. Young man at the drive through was so rude and was getting hostile. Ridiculous Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Restaurant is a combo A&W and Long John Silvers. I live on the east coast and hadn't had LJS in years. Unfortunately my fish was overcooked and/or had been sitting in the window for a long time. The clam strips, hushpuppies, and coleslaw were just how I remembered...yummy. LJS was my 1st job back in 1992 so it is all about nostalgia for me.

My car unfortunately broke down and I've been having to stay in Hays for a couple days. I decided I really wanted to go to this A&W, because I had never been before. The service was disrespectful. Since I didn't have my car and the lobby was closed, I decided to walk through the drive-thru (there were no cars behind me) This was understandably a liability, so they invited me inside. There I was instantly told by (I think) their manager that I couldn't be there and that they couldn't serve me. This was my second attempt to go here, as I first went there the night before, but they closed 10 mins early. I totally understand closing 5 minutes early, but closing 10 minutes early and not even telling me that you're closing while I stand there for 5 with no communication is a bit frustrating. I totally understand not wanting to tolerate someone's weird inclination to walk to an A&W, due to being bored out of their minds for having no car in an unwalkable part of the city, but I at least expect some respect when it comes to refusing my business. Absolutely gross! We walked in and went to the restroom first. There was toilet paper, trash, and feces everywhere. The floors were disgusting, customer service was super rude. I would give this zero stars if I could. After my family and I started to order, we decided to just leave and cancel all of our orders. It was not worth it. We did tell the workers that the restaurant and bathrooms were gross, and needed cleaned. They said they were short staff and would clean when they had time. Would not recommend.

Just ordered and it took FOREVER to even be talked to in drive thru. Only customer in the drive thru or even in the building. No large drinks. No card machine, and didnt tell us until we went to pay. Couldn't hear her at all at the drive thru. Ordered a Pepsi and got a diet. After waiting for about 10 min for them to take our order we have waited 30 min AFTER paying for our food. We would have left but we paid and she never came back to the window. 40 min wasted on our driving. And our order is wrong. We warned the person behind us to go somewhere else
