This is one of my two favorite restaurants in Florence. The food is great, and they have some great twists on their appetizers (adding pickle and fried chicken to devilled eggs, for example). Their fries are really good, too. I always order at the bar, and both bartenders are very nice, genuine people. The food here is amazing if you have the patience to stay despite their hostess being just plain rude and bothered. Normally I'd just chalk it up to a bad day but when you've only been open for 15 minutes... nah. I wanted to leave but my son begged to stay so we stayed. 45 minute wait even though there were several tables open. I guess they are understaffed and the staff can't handle their dining room being fully seated, but neither here nor there. We finally got seated and ordered and it was all uphill from here. Fantastic options, friendly and fast server, phenomenal food, drink never made it to half empty. There was some great music coming from the bar area, too. This could have been an EASY five star if not for the snobby hostess. Never seen anything like it and I'm from Charleston so... Also, they will NOT take to-go orders until after 3 pm. Came here on a business dinner last night. It’s hard to find a place that does brisket and ribs and I am very glad that I found this place. Their ribs were perfectly tender, and their brisket wasn’t short of near perfect. Their Mac and cheese was amazing but my favorite was the beans.
