Second day eating here. First day out standing, good and service. That was on a Sunday. Went Monday morning, service was hugely lacking but there were next to no workers. I went for my birthday breakfast. I ordered the chicken fried steak and boy oh boy, was it fresh!!! The pancakes were delicious too. I dug in too fast to take pictures, sorry. Got to say this Village Inn in its current state is amazing! Excellent and a total contrast to the last time I went to this location over a year ago: the service, the food, the cleanliness, the quality of everything was just excellent. Very very surprisingly good, and I really look forward to going back there after having a nice late breakfast with my dad. Food was hit or miss. Gravy was starchy and bland, potatoes had little to no flavor at all. Big miss was service. Our server was Diana, we were one of 2 tables occupied in the entire store and the waitress visited our table only when taking our order and when she brought the food out. Whole time between she never came out again. We ran out of coffee quickly and never got it refilled until she finnaly came out again. Wanted to see if they had the packets of grape jelly for my toast but she never came to the table and when I had a chance to finnaly ask she said she'd check and never said anything about it again so who knows if they actually have it or not 🤷‍♂️. She was nice when helping us, only she rarely evet came over at all. The only positive was the French silk pie was good, other than that I would avoid this place.
