We stopped in at the Sandpiper after a day of sailing the lake. What a fantastic unexpected surprise! The food was outstanding! Service was excellent and the atmosphere of this little restaurant tucked away in the trees was perfect for us! I will never take a trip to Almanor without stopping to have a meal at this restaurant. Absolutely the best seafood in the Sierra Mountains. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We just made in time for dinner at this place. We were almost lost in the woods and was hoping to get something to eat. The host was amazing. The food tasted better than most of the 5 star rated restaurants. Definitely a must visit for someone visiting around this place. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

There aren’t enough good things to say about The Sandpiper, Sarah, or Jack. The Hamilton Branch is lucky to have them. The food is delicious, I felt like I was family. I only wish I lived closer so I could eat there all the time!!! If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and visit. Sandpiper is an awesome place, set back in the quiet of Hamilton branch. Food is awesome and you will definitely not find anything else like it around the lake. Having dinner here was one of our favorite overall experiences at lake Almanor! The food was nothing short of amazing (we had the tortilla soup, salmon, fire roasted chicken and apple pie). The service was impeccable as was the friendliness of the staff. Highly HIGHLY recommend!
