It's a unique popular restaurant in Marietta. Servers are very friendly. The food was awesome. Chicken and waffle were great as well as the burger. It is an open kitchen so I liked it. Today was our first experience at the Red Eyed Mule. You walk in the door, place your order and then find a table. They are open on Saturday 7:00 am-2 ish p.m. We were there at the end of their day. The order came quickly. The server was courteous and delivered our food to the table. The food was delicious! It was large portions. I had the sassy senorita and sweet potato fries. It was sweet and spicy and delicious in all the right ways! My husband had the corn beef hash, 2 over easy eggs, a biscuit, and grits. It is not a very large place. They were busy but, we did find a table. You will not leave disappointed! I'll come back to add more photos because I will visit the restaurant again real soon. I have been here several times for breakfast and lunch. They staff is amazing. Visit a few times, and they will remember you. The restaurant is small but cozy. The food is...amazing!! The prices are just as good. During the last visit, I ordered the burger topped with coleslaw. It was yummy. I ordered the same thing the time before. That lets you know how good it is. Try it. If you want a good biscuit, this is the place to go. I am not a biscuit person, but I felt a little rushed to order. I will come back to that part in a moment. The biscuit the biscuit...OMG.. these things tasted like heaven in my mouth. They were lite and flake and moist. There was no need to drink a glass of milk behind it. They don't crumble in your hand like some of the popular biscuit places around town. The chicken I had with the biscuit had a zing of southern taste. It was hot and seasoned very well. My husband originally ordered a bowl of grits but we had to cancel that and get him a waffle because they do not have grits without cheese. Bummer because I had the grits and they were creamy and GOOD. Staff were extremely polite and welcoming. So why did I rate this place a 4 instead of a 5... this was our first time there and we wonder why no one greeted us at the door and offered to seat us. I mentioned I felt rushed to order because I did not view the whole menu prior to going. You walk in and up to the calendar to order. Then you find yourself a table. I had the burger with fried egg. The toast was the best part. I'd probably get the burger without the chili next time. The fries were just ok. It's a bit pricey for what you get.
