This bar and Ocean View Park can be both really attractive for tourists. Degust nicely cooked fish & chips, bison burgers and grilled salads at Library Alehouse. Most guests recommend trying tasty bread pudding, cupcakes and ice cream. Delicious craft beer, pale ale or draft beer are worth trying here. You will appreciate good coffee at this place. Invite your girlfriend to this spot with a cosy atmosphere. Many guests consider the staff friendly. People mention that the service is fast here. Pay affordable prices for eating at this bar. I think when I read about this place and that it was a "library" ale house I thought it meant it would have a massive selection of beer. Essentially they have stapled various books to the wall (hence the term - library). I thought this concept was nifty but the beer selection wasn't as large as I would have expected. The beer selection itself is not super special. I think having more local beers would have also been cool, and maybe 2-3 per category. The food was okay but a bit overpriced. It was fun to try one time but I don't think I would be back. (I updated this slightly and lost the response from the business because of this). To library ale house... when I think large selection of beers I would assume 30-40. I guess having that all on tap would be impossible so would have to also consist of bottled beers. This was not a terrible place. I mean I am sure local patrons love it. I just thought that for the price of the beer and food selection (I am vegetarian so maybe that's harder to accommodate on the menu), it was a 3 to 4 stars. Oh the road well traveled… Found myself in Venice Beach, CA and just wanted to find some simple fare. Found the Library Alehouse and was not disappointed. Great tap list full of delicious regional brews. I had a couple rounds of Russian River Pliny The Elder IPA which was awesome. I paired it with the Ale house burger and which was cooked to perfection. Service was casual and on point. Not stuffy and super pleasant. Staff seems to genuinely know and connect with many of the patrons. It’s a pub so I’m not sure if I’d bring the kids but I would bring my dog if Moose was with me. Overall very good experience!
