We left after discovering that there was a very long wait. It's reservation only, but you can't call and make one. They expect you to waste more time trying to get yet another app to function in order to reserve a table. When one of our party went to the hostess stand, he was ignored for several minutes. We went to MARKS EAST SIDE INSTEAD. (Appleton Wisconsin) The steaks there were superb instead of the so so meat at Texas Roadhouse. The service at MARKS EAST SIDE is outstanding as well. Noticed everyone else had a straw but when we asked for one they claimed to be out. They only had sirloin which wasn't a very good cut. Very tough. Restaurant was dirty and they were sweeping right next to me while I was eating. They're mixed veges were cuts of broccoli the size of my fist and some under cooked carrots. They asked to refill our drinks and just never came back with them. Horrible experience, we will never go to that one again!!! It was our first time there. The music was a bit loud but we were too hungry to care. I had a 14oz ribeye, medium well done and boy was it tender. Loved every bite and the server was very speedy with everything. Great food, great service, great prices, nice decor, but I'll never go back. Why? The absolutely obnoxious, loud blaring music! You have to scream any conversation. We asked the manager if it could be turned down, and she apologized and said it's corporate policy. Now it all makes sense... Great experience! We made our reservation online prior to showing up because they were surprisingly super busy for a Thursday night. We were seated very quickly and almost instantly the waitress was over and the manager to get drinks and introduce themselves. The servers were super attentive and even helped with tables that weren't their own. We had Bri as a server and she was quick and attentive. The food all came out very quick and hot. We also had refills on our drinks before they were even finished. It was a little pricey and It does get busy and a little loud there but we anticipated it being a little chaotic with it being so close to the holidays. However, for how busy they were the staff was super on top of it and worked really well together. Would 100% go back again! Wait was about 30 minutes for 2, which is to be expected on a Friday evening at 7 o’clock. Our Server Taylor was very sweet and was on top of things, never once had to ask for a refill on drinks or bread, ordered a full rack of ribs and my partner ordered the grilled shrimp, came quicker than I would have expected for how busy it was, and it was outstanding food. Overall a fantastic experience and I am very glad to see one of my favorite restaurants performing like a well oiled machine. Keep it up, you guys are doing great! Have always loved Texas Roadhouse in all the states we have lived in. Unsure if the poor service, inability to handle busy periods and low food quality is Wisconsin specific or just Appleton. Just take a look at this Bacon Cheese Fry plate... They were out of cheddar cheese and used some horrible cheese sauce. We sent it back and had to argue for a refund for the uneaten appetizer. On another visit, my order was made wrong and it took 25 minutes to get another Cheeseburger brought out. The manager said she could only offer a free appetizer on the next visit. Went there for my birthday. ordered a rib-eye and they brought me something that looked like an abomination. It was cut up, the grill lines were in different directions, and it looked old. I simply asked to have another made because I wasn't satisfied. Instead of making me a new one, the manager came back with it and gave me a ten minute lecture about why it looks like that and how he would never cut the steak, all while squishing his fingers into the steak with what he said were 'clean gloves'. So instead of fixing the problem, he made us feel really uncomfortable and I still didn't eat the steak which was presumably cold by the time he was done poking it. The waiter was really cool though, very friendly and tried to be accommodating despite what happened. I didn't want to talk bad about this place but I felt wronged.
