I just moved to this very small town. This is the only grocery store. I was pleasantly surprised when I went through the first time. They have a hot bar, plenty of fresh cold deli items (the pickle roll ups are fantastic!!) They have an extensive liquor selection with reasonable prices. The liter items in the safe flyer are a good deal depending on what you're looking for. I always end up getting way more than what was on my list!! The fresh bakery items are always on my list. These bratwurst were an unexpected find. I grilled them and they were SO good!!Elizabeth is always so friendly and accommodating whenever I come in to shop. Kayla has been extremely helpful. It's excellent customer service like this that keeps me coming back!!
I love the store and I want it to stay. It's a great service to the neighborhood. The people are sweet and work hard.
But the cashier's need a lesson in bagging please. Seriously meat with milk and a Apple.
Hard stuff with soft stuff. Common sense thing's. Yes today was a new girl, but this happens with others as well.
A young man started a few months back even remembers how I told him to bag it.
Prices are higher everywhere not just here, please bag things so they don't have to be thrown away when I get home, because there's a no return policy.
I remember, I used to be a cashier.
Customers should be grateful for Sullivan's in Mt. Morris, it is one of if not the best store in the area. I am unable to walk due to an injury, therefore I find the parking access to be excellent for a person in my situation, and the fact that this store, UNLIKE others in nearby towns have gone to extra expense to assure that electric utility carts are available so myself as well as other elderly persons who have limited mobility problems can do their shopping with ease.
I live in Oregon, but shop at Sullivan's because of the service, quality, employee assistance, and because they are handicapped friendly.
The prices that some complain about are satisfactory if they consider the cost of fuel, wear and tear on their vehicle, not to mention the time spent traveling to and from a location farther away just to save a few dollars.
If I don't find what I am searching for, all I have to do is ask and the employees are always more than willing to assist me in finding what I am seeking, and if the store does not have it in stock, they have made sure that once I have informed them of my needs that they do whatever is necessary to assure the items in question are made available on my next trip to the store.
Those persons who "SPEND A DOLLAR TO SAVE A DIME" by going elsewhere should rethink what Sullivan's brings to the community and appreciate that convenience is worth more than a few pennies if the prices are a bit above what other stores charge.
The employees and management throughout the store have always been most helpful at all times, in the deli, the meat department, and counter checkouts.
I for one am most grateful there is a Sullivan's nearby.
.
It is often difficult to find someone who works in the deli. There are times they will stand behind the counter and ignore customers. When they finally make eye contact, they act like they are doing you a favor taking your order.
