I came with my family on our travels. You know it’s good when you see a full parking lot for lunch - and the short wait was worth it. Instead of the popular Dam sandwich I got the tasty shrimp basket, my wife and son got the steak salad which they both liked, and my daughter got the chicken tender basket because apparently she’s incapable of eating anything else. Good, friendly service. As others have said, the restaurant is part of the old Montgomery stockyard, so the inside atmosphere matches: painted cinder block walls, tables and chairs are what you might find in a church basement.

Homestyle cooking where the locals eat. The restaurant will remain in place now that the stockyard out back has been sold. In case there is a waiting list upon arrival, feel free to sign in. Meal options include the daily special or order from the menu. Food is served efficiently and also comes with dessert. I ordered veggie plate meal which was fresh and the service is always friendly.
