The kid working doesn't know how to cash out a gift card that is under 10$. They are in violation of CA state law. I am reporting them to the state. Notwithstanding paragraph (1), any gift certificate with a cash value of less than ten dollars ($10) is redeemable in cash for its cash value. This is an odd location. It's a drive thru and walk-up and order. The drive thru line is so long every day that you can't get in the lot to park in the few spots available. Starbucks should reconfigure it to be drive thru only. It's a bad design that wasn't thought out well. Stay clear of this location unless you're in dire need.
