Nice dining experience overall, though as is often the case with college dining halls, the quality is a bit inconsistent. Service is highly variable, I’ve had some good experiences, numerous neutral experiences, and a few downright bad experiences, but it’s mostly been ok. The food is usually good, though it can be somewhat variable too; I’ve had some of the best college dining hall food I’ve ever had and some of the worst I’ve ever had at this place, though again most of the time it’s pretty good.
I also really like the dining atmosphere here, it’s got a nice chill & relaxed vibe, if you don’t mind the background noise of the music, and everyone else’s conversations during busy hours.
My biggest complaint as a college student is the lack of outlets to plug in one’s phone or laptop. There’s only three outlets that I’m aware of, and only two of those work, and only one of those is practically accessible. I like to hang out and study here on weekends when it’s much easier to get a table next to the one good outlet. Sadly, my laptop’s limited battery life means it’s not a reliable spot to set up for a long study session on weekdays, which I would otherwise really like to do since this place has a sweet spot of ambient stimulation levels for my ADHD brain that makes it easier to concentrate for extended periods of time. Hoping one of these years they add more outlets. 🤞
