Having worked as a manger at sonic. I can attest this is the absolute worst sonic within 50+ miles. Even Abilene which is A LOT more busy than here, treat you better than here. I worked hours car hopping in the snow or rain. No complaints. I would do anything to provide excellent service. Running around and keeping a positive energy. Something this place lacks. It’s saddening knowing how well a fast food business can be vs this. I would honestly keep my hard earned money and go somewhere, where you are appreciated and respected. I stopped in with my family Sunday, January 21, 2024 and am very disappointed in the service. We waited 20 minutes after hitting the call button three times. Meanwhile, the staff was horsing around inside. They certainly saw and acknowledged us while running around jumping on each other, but didn't have time to take our order. While waiting for the drinks, one staff member left the facility and when returning, stank so highly of marijuana, we had to close the windows and explain the smell to our five year old. Waited 20 minutes after pushing the call button and the staff completely ignored me. This restaurant has contempt for their customers and it shows. Whomever is running this restaurant is asleep at the wheel. Get rid of them. I could run this restaurant in my sleep and double the revenue. This place is in a great location. It should be constantly full of cars but their poor service is notoriously bad and everyone in the surrounding neighborhoods knows it. The unsweetened strawberry iced tea through a featured drink on the menu was terrible and undrinkable. The Snickers blast was also a disappointment. It doesn't taste like snicker bars at all. The candy they use doesn't appear to actually be the actual Snickers chunks you'd imagine but some kind of topping and it's the inside of the bar. But I am not sure if it has the peanuts and for sure I didn't see any chocolate so it would have been good to at least add a chocolate drizzle or give it another name... but my entire order was a fail! And when your staff has to take the customer card to run it, they should go directly to and from the office with the customer's card. While I am not entirely sure what my server was doing that redirected her while handling my card, that's never a good idea in this day and age of seeking to protect our cards from mishandling. While I understand that technology doesn't work as it should all the time and the drive in slot I was using would not recognize my card that night. This unfortunately resulted in your staff having to walk it into the building and run it inside, Please! In the future, ensure this is a direct process! Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

The staff got our huge order perfectly right! It was somewhat slow, but there were only two workers handling everything and it was fairly busy. We appreciated that they got it all put together and when we opened the five big bags for 9 people, nothing was missing or incorrect and there was lots of sauces and ketchup packets included. This is by far the worst location. I honestly am not sure how they are still open. On countless occasions we have experienced the worst food and service. I know why do we keep coming back, honestly i wish i knew, but i can definitely say I will never go to this location ever again. During our visit on 11/15/23 we ordered 2 Sonic Blast 1 was Oreo Brownie and 1 was a Turtle favor. The cup was filled with vanilla ice cream and a few pieces of toppings. On top of that when we tried to order a small the lady on the other end of the microphone just ignored us ( no biggie there, its just extremely rude) so we received 2 large cups of ice cream!! I had just had enough and felt like i had dealt with this one to many times ( previous bad experiences at this location) so i called the restaurant to see who the district manager was so i can inform them of this and other situations, ( reading previous reviews i am not the only one with issues at this location) a young man named Brian said he was the manager and Edgar was the district manager, after some back and forth he said he was the one making drinks. It blew my mind that the manager would find this to be acceptable. In all honesty they were not even busy. After confirming with Brian that he was the manager and Edgar was the district manager he informed me he was actually the regional manager!!!! Brian the regional manager!!! Oh my goodness how desperate is the fast food industry. Needless to say this location sucks and i personally feel like they all should be fired and a new staff be rehired. I will followed through with a formal complaint tomorrow. It really boils down to customer service and the lack of it. If this is the attitude of the employees then its only a matter of time before they make someone sick with poor food practice.
Sonic's have their own ambiance with drive-up/car stalls that you can order food and eat in your vehicle. They also have a drive-thru and outdoor seating. They change their menu fairly often and have very standard fare of hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, along with a large variety of crafted sodas and desserts. I can't say I love their food, but the new BBQ burger and Garlic sauce burger aren't bad. I find their beef a little bland and their hot dogs and chicken are so-so. Why do I know so much of their menu? It's 2 minutes from my house and over many years I've stopped there because it's so convenient. The service is always friendly, and I'd definitely recommend their tater tots over fries anytime. Was starving and had the taste for a burger. Ordered the double cheese burger with tots. Food was awesome and my kids enjoyed theirs. Cost was more than I like, but isn't everything these days. Staff needs to learn how to speak to customers. Very rude and to put a complaint in was pointless as it is all automated. Fix the issues that are causing your employees to feel it is ok to yell at customers, roll eyes, and say OMG all loud that I could hear her all over me asking for a refund because the shakes were taking too long after the food was already given to us. Wait for shakes while the food gets cold... makes sense. Service: 1
