Order nicely cooked tacos and tasty chicken. You will be offered good draft beer. This bar is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Prices are found democratic here. The atmosphere is quiet, as people see it. But guests rate Rude Dog Bar & Grill below average on Google.

My 25 year old friend didn’t get served because his ID was expired. I mean he’s still legal but still. Then the owner came to our table and then kicked him out and then pointed his little $5 flashlight towards us and demanded our IDs as if we were criminals. We literally said out loud “what the hell??? Our friend is over 21 and legal. Just with an expired id” I get it. His ID is expired but why treat us all as a criminal with a $5 little flashlight and demanding IDs from our table? We literally immediately left and didn’t want their service anymore because we felt uncomfortable after that situation. We didn’t feel welcome at all. And that use to be my go to spot until now. Also. If you guys make a tequila sunrise….first tequila, then orange juice and then grenadine. Never grenadine first because all your taste is plane nasty flavored sugar even if you stir it. Educate your bartenders please!!! BTW...There is a difference in serving alcohol and letting people stay just to hang out. I know! I am certified and also have my ABC license! We will not be coming anymore because of the way you approached us as we are criminals and only because a guy with us is over 21 bbut has an expired ID....like really????

I suppose Rude Dogs bar and grill can be considered Covina's default watering hole. It's been in town since as long as one can remember, and seems to have a steady following of regular patrons. They have a wide array of beers on tap and full bar to imbibe in. Food is your basic bar grub so don't expect too much. Prices are relatively decent expect to pay around $14 for 34oz tall beer. All in all a cool place to go for a pregame drink before you go somewhere else in Covina to grab some dinner. Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Changing my review to 1 star atmosphere. I stopped going to Rude Dog years ago, because they instituted a "frisking" policy. With the laugh factory next door opening and I noticed they didn't frisk anymore. So I went and had a good time. I gave my review of 4 stars. Well they're back to frisking!!! My wife and I are in our 60s, we're not a threat, but they still wanted to frisk me. I refused and left and won't be back. They kept my "cover charge". Below was my original review. Left it in for context and so the owners know it was the frisking of senior citizens that I object to. Should have been 4 stars. Friendly bar staff. They were a little short staffed but attentive for being very busy. Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

One of the long lasting bars and establishments of old Town Covina. Many places come and go but this place stays around for a good reason. Still a solid spot in a growing area. Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
