The food's mediocre, and the teenage staff seems clueless. I won't harp on that since it's kinda standard around here in this country, but I've gotta call out the shady stuff – the prices on the bill are higher than what's on the menu. It's like daylight robbery. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Food was bland and took way too long. We were the only clients there. The kitchen seemed to work initially, then like 20min no one in the kitchen preparation dishes. When they finally served our food they gave us sweet potato fries instead of normal fries so had to be redone which added more delay. I ordered fried calamari. It was rubbery texture and had an odd fishy smell/flavor. I did not eat anymore of them. They have literally no options for kids activities besides drawing. Not like other De Beren restaurants that have kids play area. Not coming back to this one. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €30–40 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Right away when entering they told us they were short on staff due to a large event the night before. They still managed to provide is with great food and drinks :) Sure, there was some waiting, but who cares. If you are in a rush, then go to McDonalds. Misses: While some dishes shine, a few fall short in terms of flavor or execution, or perhaps it just doesn’t suit well with Asian tastebuds. 1. Tomatensope: this dish was fairly good. 2. Varkenshaas: we came in a group and noticed a lot didn’t finish this dish as the meat was disappointingly dry and chewy. 3. It took 1.5 hours to deliver a bowl of nachos to our table. While waiting we almost forgot why we came to this place. Probably the slowest service in North Holland! Edit: Apparently they are also unable to properly take their customers' orders. They orgot to register one of the main courses (yes, main course!) and ruined our family dinner. This branch is great from the outside unfortunately It is by far the worst of De Beren's worst restaurants. If you choose this restaurant you may or may not have a good dining experience, if you don't like sour surprises, STAY AWAY! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

What a mess. 1 hour after being sited we were given the wrong order. Awful. Organize yourselves. I would comment on the food if I knew. Edit. It got worst, nobody could figure out the register and there was a massive queue for paying. On the good side, the food was perfectly fine. I don't know, maybe have less tables until you can figure the whole restaurant thing? Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Reading the previous reviews I was a little apprehensive but was pleasantly surprised. I hadn’t made a reservation but was able to be seated. I was keen to try the ribs based on the photos I’d seen so went for the smaller portion with a side of loaded fries. The ribs are offered with different sauces and you’re able to have more than one sauce. I really enjoyed my dinner. The restaurant was pretty busy but this didn’t affect the attentiveness and service. I’d definitely return and most probably order the same! Please stay away of this place! The order took over an hour to be served and came out COLD! Fries old and oily. Also experienced the waitress dropping someone’s food on their lap. Other table giving up on waiting. Seriously disappointing! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

The food we had was enjoyable, the young waitress who served us was very friendly and willing to give a pleasant evening. Together with the young girl who worked mostly as a take-out from the open kitchen, managed her fellow young colleagues very well. Most of the staff with De Beren clothes on tried to do their best, but what I experienced was that the manager/owner didn’t gave me a welcome feeling. This showed off by the rest of the staff. I hope that recipe is all the same at other De Beren, because the Ribs where very tender.
