The polish and pork chop I got did NOT taste like an original Maxwell Street style. Ther service was good, but I went there because the sign claimed they were original Maxwell style sandwiches. Original Maxwell style does NOT use a sport pepper. Go to the original location and see for yourself. It would be nice to be able to get the real deal in the suburbs, but I haven’t found it yet. The atmosphere you'll see ..on corner on 135th Pulaski on the border line of Robbins,Illinois and Alsip, Crestwood. You can eat in your car. The summer time might change as far as atmosphere where customers can sit outside to eat.It's on a busy road.You can walk up to order or drive thru. I haven't had a beef polish in nearly 40 years...those onions hot peppers a 10 plus.Very good customer service.This place serves tacos and double cheese burgers and fish and pizza and tamelas.
