I love the food at this place! I eat here every other week or so, but sometimes it makes my throat burn. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I still think it’s worth it for the taste! This isn’t a review based on food, but based on experience. We went in for a quick night cap and sat at the bar minding ourselves. Sitting next to us was an inebriated man, who began a conversation about the downfall of various things, such as food and politics. We were cordial until he started asking about our ethnicities and background, which then proceeded to an uncomfortable tirade of insults. Having never experienced such hostility first hand, I was taken aback. I notified the bartender and he promptly escorted the man out of the restaurant and apologized for our bad experience. Still in shock, he and a fellow waitress came by to check on us periodically. We stayed until we were done with our beverages and the bartender/owner covered our bill. He said “Come back soon” This night could have ended sour but the staff did everything they could to ensure we were comfortable. I appreciated their hospitality. Bummed I did not get any pictures for you. The food was quite tasty and lots of it. It’s not the best I have had but was delicious. You order your food and then grab a table if dining in. They have a condiment bar for hot sauces, sour cream, salsas, onions, and cilantro to add to your food. Atmosphere I thought was fun. There is a bar way in the back that serves really good margaritas. Bartender was Awesome!!! The only thing I was disappointed on was the parking. You have to find a spot somewhere around the block. That can be a walk. I don’t mind walking but for some that might not be worth it. There is front street parking if available but a very busy street. We are new to Minneapolis and we were having a driving adventure when we came across this place. It was between this and the sushi place across the street. Our cravings were sushi until we saw this place, suddenly Mexican food sounded so amazing and omg, did not DISAPPOINT. The freshness of this food was excellent, the side options were endless, staff were amazing and quick, prices are affordable AF, did I mention the freshness!?!? Go have your own experience!!! You won't be disappointed! I had the three tacos, with beans and rice (comes with the meal) and ah, so much fooood! *** Each person has a different experience/taste *** There are two different menus. The Line Menu is for the front area which looks like serve yourself. The table menu is for the back area that has servers (I guess they only have it from 3pm - 9pm). We were confused when we first came. We wanted to try the table menu, so we asked their staff where to go. They told us to go to the back area where there is a bar counter to be served the table menu. The table menu has more options for spicy food, but not as many dishes as other Mexican Restaurants. We had 1 Enchiladas Rancheras with Ground Beef, 1 Tacos with Steak, Marinated Pork w/ Pineapple, and Ground Beef. The taste is not bad.
