If I could share my post and rate this restaurant will no stars, I would! From the time we walked into this restaurant until the time we walked out - everything about our experience was poor. We sat at a broken table and we were served food on broken dishes, the server was ignorant of what drinks this restaurant had and to top it all off, we were served undercooked raw food. Years ago, back when they were in Lewistion, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I went there tonight and ordered beef tacos. I was only able to make it thru a couple bites. The seasoning / flavor was completely off and didn't give a "taco" vibe. More like spaghetti sauce or something. Plate is sitting in front of me, not eaten. Looks like that was a waste of almost $20. Can't rate anything except the service as we didn't eat. My 2 friends and I went there this evening (02/10/24) and were sitting there for 20 minutes being ignored by the wait staff while everyone who was seated after us got service. I notice many of the wait staff look at us, one even rolled her eyes at us. Feel that we were totally profiled by the wait staff as I believe they didn't see dollar signs when they looked at us. (I have to wear sweats as I have a leg brace and am on crutches and one of my friends had a big scraggly beard). However, despite our looks we are all financially stable and we tip at a 25% or better rate for good/great service (which the wait staff at Margaritas will now never find out). The manager offered what I consider feeble apologies and never took our names or tried to rectify the situation at all. Very disappointed as I hadn't been to Margaritas in a long time and was looking forward to the food. Anyway, I sincerely hope this review will reach the right people and that management or owners can hopefully make sure no other patrons have to deal with this type of awful service. There was a group of 7 of us including a baby that went to margaritas after watching the drone light show and being out in the cold during New Years Eve. Anyway, Our waitress had came over to us once to give us menus and told us she'd be with us shortly. 15 minutes go by and she finally comes over to order our drinks/ food and would not serve my father in law because she thought he was intoxicated… she didn't even have a conversation with him or anything and had only came over to us once and said he was showing signs of intoxication. When clearly he was not. The rest of the time was awkward which proceeded to us getting a new waitress and the whole situation was just completely embarrassing. We will definitely not be going back. After we found out there was no carnival this year at the balloon festival my kiddo chose margaritas to spend her money. We could not have been more happy with the excellent service 💖our taco salads were ready seconds after we received our app and our waitress asked if we would like to hold them. She was absolutely amazing and wish I could remember her name So much so that I would love to go back and ask for her so if you are her and waited on us let me know some how. The BEST restaurant so far while visiting Maine. Food is consistent and delicious! My fav are the wings.. try any and you will like. My fav are coconut and jerk. They mixed my order up with the plain version and still not bad. The lettuce wraps with shrimp.. superb. I’ve been there like 5 times now. Just say YUM 😋

There is plenty of parking available. The location is easy to find and the property is well maintained. The theme is a colorful latino restaurant. I ordered an ice cream, so perhaps my review will not be useful to everyone. But I have dined here on other occasions. My review covers those experiences collectively. The service is friendly, but not welcoming. They are attentive and see to your needs, but never have I experienced an interaction with the waitstaff that left me feeling appreciated or even that my business was wanted. Short-form: minimal friendliness. The food is bountiful and tasty. Unfortunately nothing really pops with flavor. This is unfortunate as the selected region offers a plethora of flavors that could excite any food connoisseur. But their menu lacks culinary courage. I would have to say that they are serving generic "Mexican" meals. What they lack in flavor adventure they compensate with quantity. Their meals are hard to complete alone. Finally, the plates look good. It is a true art to plate your food in a way that says quality, and these folks do it well.
