First time at this restaurant. It was a Saturday around 9:30ish and just me and my mom. It was moderately busy but not crazy. We sat ourselves and were right in front of the cash register. We got our coffee and water quickly enough but getting our order taken took forever. We were just about to leave when I was finally able to flag down a waitress to have her take our order. I got the special, eggs benedict with hash-browns and my mother just got toast and coffee. There were four different bread options for the toast! :) My eggs benedict wasn't the greatest - the eggs were great but the sauce was heavy and tasteless; the hash-browns weren't that great either - nice and crunchy on the outside but mushy and luke-warm on the inside. Price couldn't be better but if I go again, will get something more... midwest traditional to see if the cooking is better. I hadn't been to legends in a few years but when did they go from home made to frozen foods? Packaged Chicken fried steak not at all what I remember and the hashbrowns tastes like freezer burn. Over easy eggs were cooked solid. I ordered 2 breakfasts and brought one to a friend. Bacon was great. Gravy was great. All else was gross. Neither one of us finished our meals. It went into the garbage can. Not at all how I remembered. What happened? Staff was great as always but the food not so much. We won't be back. unfortunate.
