My husband and I had salads for dinner and both were very hearty portions. We tried to select from the menu for lower sodium options and our server was very helpful with that. She also checked the salad dressing for the amount of sodium and recommended the lower ones. I'm disabled and was shunned by the staff at John's Place. I go there about once or twice a month, but never again. The manager was even meaner to me than the other crew members. He wanted to know how long I sat at my table waiting for any sign of acknowledgement from his team. I messed around with my devices (3 of them), went over my grocery list, cleaned my purse out, just hoping one of the waitresses would say, "Hi" or "Would you like a menu", anything that would make me feel welcomed, instead of less than and humiliated. I cried in their restroom forever. My day was horrible and I cried even more when I got home. I think it's situations like this that I'm supposed to report them to Adult Protective Services, for being so obviously prejudiced against me. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Fantastic service and great prices. Ordered John's gourmet burger with some fries. Burger was cooked exactly as ordered and tasted great. Chocolate shake was good, not the best, but not the worst. Their gourmet burger and bison burger are top tier, and the service was great. The atmosphere is simple with a classic diner interior, no string lights or ridiculously dim lighting here. So I went to this restaurant to order a bison burger and a taco salad and while I was watching them prepare the food I noticed the cook was not wearing gloves which is fine in its own setting I know sometimes these restaurants don't use gloves however I noticed the cook was just touching everything from the utensils to containers to his forehead to his clothing and then touching food directly while he was making the salad he grabbed the guacamole to cut the guacamole and I just could not force myself to eat that and fully knowing that his hands were completely contaminated by his surroundings so I had to ask him my refund I use to come here all the time and it was a lot more clean. kind of makes me sad to see the place now. The guy that took the order was polite and the service was good in terms of ordering he gave me my refund when asked without hesitation and asked what was wrong and I summarized to why I needed the refund and why I do not want to take the food and I will not be coming back here again.
