What more can you say, Ivars on the water! 😉 I have been going to this location since it's inception, since my career is on the water. The consistency of the food and service has been excellent! I've been there in the very very busy times, along with 2 customers that day. Service and food coupled with environment, next level! 😋 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Clams 'N Chips

truly a Seattle landmark and tradition. the format is ‘fast casual’ not fast-food. the location is beautiful, on the lake dining right over the water. I think we can debate the style of the fish n chips, but no one can deny that the white chowder is truly excellent. the other is their tartar sauce. i wish i can dive in it and lick it off my hands n feet. it is perfection. it is bit more tangy than most, which makes it the right dressing for any fried goods, especially french fries (chips to all you brits). the acids cut the heaviness of oils as grease tends to coat our taste palette heavy. Got really wet on my visit, a rare downpour for seattle. It’s usually misty wet rain in the NW, not the usual monsoon style rain like i was used to living in SW Asia. check out the video evidence. Ate at this famous staple while in Seattle, unfortunately wasn't impressed with the food. I ordered a seafood platter expecting shrimp of a larger size vs. the popcorn size received. The customer service was great, but as a native of Baltimore, we know our seafood, and this missed the mark. The clam chowder was good, thick in consistency, and I was impressed. Would I eat here again, probably not? But that doesn't mean one shouldn't try them for yourself. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food is good, what you would expect from Ivar’s. The real gem here is the atmosphere. It is a delight, right on the lake, beautiful and picturesque. A great place for an afternoon. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
I love this place located at Gene Coulon Park. It is wonderful to spend a nice walk beside the water and end it up at this restaurant. The food is delicious, and the bread bowl chowder is the best. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I loved the variety of the fish on the menu, I had the salmon and it was fresh and delicious. This would be a fantastic spot in the summer time. We went on a cold November evening and it was still charming and we had the place to ourselves. Beautiful views of the lake even at night. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Great, affordable food with an excellent view! It came out quickly and fresh from the fryer. 😋 I ordered the Seafood Combo and it came with one piece of fish, fried shrimp, fried clams, and fries. Very satisfying. I also loved the condiment bar. Especially the cocktail sauce, tartar, and vinegars. Great place for a simple and quick meal. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

We stopped by here today with our kiddos for a cup of their famous clam chowder, bread bowl chowder and salmon chowder. The chowders are delicious, great service and watch a view of Lake Washington. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $10–20
Came here on Friday afternoon lunch while visiting Renton. It was half full from about the 10 tables outside on the pier and tables on the inside. Walked in and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Wanted to try the traditional fish and chips, so ordered the Alaska True Cod, but also tried the Wild Alaska Halibut Fish and Chips. For the sides, ordered the Clam Chowder and Cole Slaw. Within 10 minutes, they brought the order to the table. There were nice thick cuts of Cod and Halibut. Asked for some malt vinegar as I don't like for tartar sauce or anything else to take away from the flavor of the fish. The fish was very fresh and flaky on the inside with a nice fried crisp on the outside. The chowder thick, creamy, and also had nice chunks of clam. It was a little too cold to eat outside, but the inside still provide a nice view of the water. After the meal, it was a nice walk around the boardwalk right around the restaurant. I can imagine how nice it is to sit outside and enjoy your meal. This place had good quality seafood without paying the high restaurant prices.

Great spot for an affordable lakefront lunch- Highly recommend the original fish and chips, jumbo or baby prawns, coleslaw and original clam chowder as a go to for a delicious and cheap meal with family or friends. Halibut and chips are good but a bit pricey, and the salmon and chips are a bit too dry for my liking. Service is pretty prompt and the view is especially amazing- Attached is the photo of our view while me and my family ate. Highly recommend! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
