Was really surprised by the food quality after going because of such high reviews. The bread was served with cold butter (no olive oil?). That was fine but then I ordered the mussels with linguine (white sauce) and it was completely tasteless; I’m not a person who needs a lot of sodium, but it tasted like raw noodles - it had no taste. I thought fine I’ll try something else. Then I tried my wife’s linguine (red sauce) that accompanied her calamari, and it tasted like Ragu which was even worse. Service and ambiance of this place is A1. Never had to ask my server for anything. He was on top of everything. Ordered drinks and clams and was amazed. Once my chicken piccata came I was severely disappointed. Had no flavor looked unappetizing and it came with bland pasta with cheap red sauce. Was appalled at how great the restaurant felt but how much the food lacked flavor. Server didn’t make it clear that the linguine came with red sauce. Thought it would come as one with the piccata. Great but pricey food; easy parking. Seemed to have a waiter in training -- my friend I dined with had particular financial constraints and asked questions about prices of certain items to which the waiter rolled his eyes...how not to make a good tip. This is a service industry; if you can't provide service without eye rolls, go train for some non-service position somewhere else.
