A friend and I went to the Scottsville Road I Hop on National Pancake day expecting to enjoy some free pancakes with our other menu items. We waited in a booth for an hour and no one took our order. I don't blame the servers, there were only two ladies for the whole restaurant. We left with no food. As we went out there were at least 12-15 people in the lobby who had not been seated. Someone sure dropped the ball on National Pancake day!!!!! Service Dine in Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Went here on a Thursday evening around 730pm. It was a bizarre experience from entry to exit. Pros: 1. Food was decent. Cons: 1. There were 3 tables of costumers out of the entire restaurant, but it took us at least 10 minutes to even see the server so we could be seated. 2. On the way to be seated, woman server immediately started complaining to us. She was going on about how it's only her working, how a rush just came in and people are fussing over here not being fast enough, etc. I made the comment that management must suck for leaving her by herself for evenings to which she replied, "nights are mine" almost protectively. Weird but ok - don't complain then. 3. When my son ordered pancakes, she asked if he wanted eggs? Yes. Bacon? Yes. Hash browns? Yes. But she wrote them down a la carte instead of making it a pancake meal so his order was like $22 instead of the $12 meal. Deceptive. 4. I didn't get the pancakes how I ordered them but I didn't feel like bringing this to her attention. 5. We go to pay the bill - she hands me somebody else's check which was only $15, so being the honest person that I am, I brought it up to her. I don’t know what happened after this but it sure felt stretchy - she stated that she had already closed my ticket out and needed the manager to do something to fix it. SO SHE TOOK MY DEBIT CARD OUTSIDE to where her manager was like right around the corner out of window view. Twice!!! I was 100% sure I was getting scammed and had my teenagers try to see where she went outside with my personal information. Will not return and I would recommend that you don't go here either. The service here is hot garbage. We had 7 people, got sat in a corner by the front door at a table with enough room for 6, in an empty restaurant. Our waitress had 3 other tables and kept apologizing for doing things too fast - “Oh, I took your order down so fast I missed that it was adult sized,” or, “Sorry, I was just moving so fast I must’ve mixed up sweet and unsweetened tea.” That’s called “not doing your job well,” sweetie. The restaurant was mostly empty and people in the lobby were leaving after standing waiting for a table for over 10 minutes. I’m writing this after having sat here for an hour waiting on food and having to flag the waitress down for a refill. I’ve got 7 people total (5 kids) and about $150 in food waiting on this ticket, and nothing is being done by anyone. They either need 6 more people working here or they need the ones that are here to actually do something. I asked for the check for my drink and had every intention of leaving. The cook came out and assured me the food was coming soon, explaining that she was the only cook here with 2 trainees. I don’t care what the problem is, the restaurant isn’t doing a good job. They comped 50% of my bill in apology. It’s not about money or apologies, it’s about a restaurant that isn’t full with bad staff that can’t get a manager that will run the restaurant. IHOP is off my list. We’ll be going to Waffle House from now on. And if anyone from IHOP wants to talk this over with me, I’ll welcome the conversation. We ate dinner around 8 p.m. The lobby and dining room seemed dimly lit for it not to be closing time. Jen's service was great. Our meals tasted good. The eggs scrambled easy were done. Otherwise, it was a good meal. The prices for drinks are RIDICULOUS. A 12oz. glass of chocolate milk was $3.49.
