My husband and I have eaten our Saturday morning breakfast/brunch at Gunters the past 2 weekends. We loved it!
It was our first trip(s) for breakfast in, although we have picked up take out our grabbed quick lunches here or there. I have to say both of us weren't ready to be so impressed with Gunters.
We moved to Mocksville back over the summer (2023) and have been looking for a new restaurant. We have tried almost every breakfast location in town, and we had already started driving out of town a little. When we remembered Gunters.
We have it a test go last Saturday, and repeated it again this Saturday. Both visits we were blown away with how great the food was.
I ordered the French toast combo, and my husband ordered the pancake combo. I eat my French toast cooked to order (no cinnamon, no powdered sugar). Every single item we have ordered has been correct. Crispy bacon for me, floppy bacon for him.
Today we had the pleasure of meeting Devin, the manager. I can't wait to come back and try the brand new salad bar.
So far, if this keeps up, it's going to be the start of a beautiful new long foodie relationship! (We eat out almost every weekend).

The burgers are bland and taste like they sit in water. The club sandwiches aren't really a club. It's a piece of meat on two pieces of toast. Their BBQ chicken is very tasty and juicy.

I've been curious about this place, but every time i drove by, they were closed. But today they were open, and i dont think I'll be back. Where to start, lukewarm macaroni, still looking for the cheese, pintos tasted horrible, hamburger steak was over cooked and dry. Mashed potatoes were mediocre at best. Chicken pie was luke warm and dry with an odd taste. Place really needs a good cleaning and updating, something. The bathroom reminded me of an old-school gas station bathroom, which also could use a good cleaning.

Stopped in for lunch while our RV was being worked on nearby. All the places recommended to us were closed on Monday. This was the closest that was open. My husband was hoping for Breakfast but they stopped serving at 11:00, and it was 11:06. He got a burger, I got a BLT and we shared fries. Everything was delicious. Fries were hot and crispy. If ever in this area again we’d come back for sure.

Just went inside to find out some information on where I was going. The service was great as far as getting me to where I needed to go. I would like to say thank you for who helped me get to my destination. I don't know about the food but it smelled really really good and a lot of people were leaving out so I assume that it is as good as it smelled

CJs Restaurant was not good, so when I saw this is now a different restaurant and was craving a burger, I dropped by.
Servers were friendly (albeit not dressed appropriately for any workplace unless you teach yoga). The best thing about the burger was the slaw. Patty was so hard, dry, overcooked, and flavorless I left over half of it.
Mac and cheese was not bad, but tastes like BoJangles.
In summary, go to Miller's or Food Freaks or any number of other local burger spots if that's what you're hankering for.

I ordered two vegetable plates and a sweet tea. I had broccoli casserole, sweet potato casserole, apple crumble, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, cabbage, pinto beans, potato salad, hush puppies. The apple crumble and sweet potato casserole were delicious. They had good flavor and a good amount of topping. The mashed potatoes were real potatoes, not the flakes. They had really nice flavor. The potato surprised me. Not many restaurants get potato salad right but they do. The customer service was great. The ladies were friendly and fast.

The food was great. Service not so good was not very busy. When we went they came by and poured my friend refilled his drink. Mine was sitting right there almost empty she left. She came back and asked if there was anything else I had to tell them. Yes I would like some more drink. Also they act like just because the man is there. They're the only one that is supposed to get a refill on drinks. I don't know. But anyway the food was wonderful. The food was good. This was the second time we have been the first time. The food was not so great. Made my husband sick but he wanted to try it again and we did and the food was great. I think we will try it again to see what other kind of foods they offer. The food so far that we have gotten has been really good. I had no problems with it the first time or the second time other than the service
