Last week we visited Francesca's in AH. The reviews were pretty good so we made reservations & perused the menu online. We both had Old Fashions to start, which were good but surprised they weren't using the Italian cherries. And of course fried calamari- so good! We had the lasagna special for that night & it was delicious. Big enough to bring home leftovers for the next night. Overall we enjoyed the restaurant & would recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We just hosted our daughter’s baby shower at Francesca’s Tavola in Arlington Heights and could not be more pleased with how the event turned out! The food was amazing and the staff was absolutely incredible. They provided top service to all of our guests, and were so incredibly helpful and accommodating to me during the event set up and all throughout the event, ensuring everything was going as planned. Truly, an amazing experience and can’t recommend them enough. Special shoutout to my event coordinator, Katherine Woods, and event manager, Rubi Duarte as well as the incredible staff, Rene, Mzrio, Kenny and Juzn Jr. You’re the best!! Loved everything about our dinner last night. The food was outstanding! I had the asparagus ravioli and my husband had a pasta dish with sausage. They were both dishes we had never ordered there and loved them so much, we didn’t even have any left to bring home. Our server was Colleen. She was knowledgeable and super sweet. We came for Valentine’s Day today and that was our first mistake. 😩 Hostesses and waiters all looked super stressed. We were seated at 745 for a 730 reservation in bar seating and my chair was super wobbly. We had to ask for the bread basket three times; it finally came after 30 minutes of being seated. We were hopeful for the food though due to all the positive reviews. We thought the calamari would be a safe choice but the calamari was tough and extra chewy. Linguine con vongole was pretty good, but my bucatini with mushroom sauce was so bland. It stated that it came with a creamy sauce but it was super watery and lacked flavor. The best thing we ordered was honestly the side of sausage and peppers which was yummy. So maybe the red sauces are the ones to stick to ordering if you come here. Our waiter did not check on us at all during our dinner entrees; when he came when we were finished, we immediately asked for the check. Maybe on a normal night this is a great place to go, but we left so disappointed by the lack of quality and service that we do not think we will try here again. Such a disappointment for our Valentine’s Day dinner. They packed in tables so close to accommodate more guests and they were not able to properly handle the volume. Came in on Wednesday evening to celebrate a birthday. Greeted as soon as I walked and they offered a coat check. Our server Rene was excellent making drink and food recommendations which we took and were happy with the results. Great service by everyone and quality food. I celebrated my birthday there and our server Rene was excellent in making me feel special by acknowledging the importance of it and providing me with extra attention. The service was excellent and Rene was always attentive when we needed anything. The wine he suggested was great, as the food was delicious. I would definitely go there again.
