For a 150$+ dinner you would think the service would be exemplary. Although that wasn’t the case on my last visit for dinner service, the service seemed to have an attitude and was inattentive to my table. I waited over a hour and half to receive steak? How could this be possible. Not only that was a big issue but the two table next to me had gotten seated 20 min after I sat down and they still received their food first. The unfortunate part is that the server still took another 30 min to give me my bill for the dinner and wasn’t apologetic for the wait. I understand there can be a busy dinner service but it wasn’t that busy. The Staff needs to be retrained. On another note, food was decent and delightful. But not for the wait. Superb service by Ms. Jay. The shrimp was good, but the fries were soggy and greasy. To have good crispy fries; the starch needs to be removed and fried twice to get the perfect crispness on the outside. Chowder soup was slightly underseasoned. We definitely enjoyed the bread pudding. It's probably one of the best bread puddings I've ever had. There's definitely room for improvement. Our first time at Fire was excellent! Very cool ambiance and fun atmosphere. I absolutely loved their sweet potato fries and their Fire sirloin was a very solid steak! Not pictured: their cornbread (amazing with the butter), the excellent Mahi Mahi with lobster risotto, and truffle mac and cheese! Our first experience with this restaurant was Saturday, January 6th, 2024. My husband read the reviews from Google, 4.4 stars and we decided to eat here because steak, his favorite, and poke bowl, my favorite were on the menu. We were the first customers of the day, arriving shortly after 11am. We were handed the brunch menu to order from which didn't offer steak. He was dissappointed. He ordered the loaded tator tots as an appetizer and shrimp and chicken 'a plenty. It was not "a plenty". He was served three chicken fingers, six medium sized shrimp, fries and coleslaw in a condiment cup. He did say it was tasty. My sushi bowl (salmon and tuna) on the other hand, was NOT tasty. It had a big dollop of guacamole on the top (guacamole and seaweed isn't a good combination I soon learned). I mixed my salad, and I noticed the skin was still attached to the salmon. I pulled the skin off each of the 4 slivers and then took a bite. I felt a fish scale go down my throat. My second bite, I couldn't chew because of the large fishbone. When I pulled it out of my mouth, all the meat and another fish scale came out. I had to go to the bathroom for fear of throwing up at the table. My husband explained to the server what was wrong with my dish while I was gone. The service was fine. She apologized and removed the poke bowl from our bill. We weren't pleased with the small print at the bottom of the menu stating 3% charge will automatically be added to all bills. Needless to say, we won't be back. This restaurant was unexpected great! The menu online is much different than the one in person, and the atmosphere is much more upscale than we realized- but the atmosphere were great! Regarding service, the only thing that wasn’t perfect was that we had a very large party and only one server. Millie was wonderful, but she was definitely overwhelmed and as she was only one person it was a bit hard for her to keep up with refills at times. Even if someone had just been helping her attend to us every so often, that would have made a difference. The only other thing worth mentioning was while the food was delicious, it took quite some time to get to our table. About 40 minutes. Millie warned us that the kitchen was backed up before we ordered, which surprised us because the restaurant was less than half full.
