The food was great. The wait staff was super attentive and friendly. We arrived early for our reservation and they sat us right away. I do not understand the benefit of their valet service but maybe that would be good if they were overwhelmingly busy. My wife and I recently visited Fiorellas in Newton as we’ve dined the many times in the past! My wife LOVED her Shrimp Scampi and said it was absolutely delicious! I was in the mood for a tasty price of fish so I asked if they had Haddock and she said yes but it wasn’t on the menu but they could definitely do a baked Haddock with bread crumbs, I requested brocilli as my side with no garlic, I specifically told the waitress that I am okay with melted butter or an oil seasoning just no added garlic. When I say nothing was on the Broccoli, I mean it was Plain steamed broccoli and flavorless at that, I was also very surprised that the fish which looked good and also lacked flavor! I want to go on record to say Fiorellas has always been a 5 Star Experience. This time I was very disappointed to say the least! Great intimate place for any occasion! Went for a business meal but saw a lot of couples eating too. Service was quick and wine selection is good. Dined with three friends on a Friday night it was very busy but not too loud. We all enjoyed our meals. The breadsticks with sauce were excellent. I had the seafood chowder with pasta and it was very good. The spicing was just right and the fish and clams were very fresh. My friends enjoyed and loved the veal Parmesan. The food here was super delicious! Even though the restaurant was busy everything came out hot and quick. Took a little bit for the bill but again, it was busy. I had the arancini app and seafood pasta dish with the pasta made in house. Parking can be tough in the small lot of busy nights. This place is good but not great. Most of the pasta selections had red sauce, so I wish there were more white sauce options to balance that out. We ordered the gnocchi and lasagna which were both good with large portions. My favorite thing was the peanut butter ice cream cake for dessert. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, everyone is so friendly! The food is really delicious, as well. Everything tasted very freshly made. They start off with cheesy flat bread sticks with their house made red sauce. I thought that red sauce was not bad. We ordered their fried ravioli and their buffalo brussels sprouts. The ravioli tasted like a mozzarella stick, I didn't hate it at all! It comes with a side of red sauce. The brussels sprouts are fried and served with buffalo sauce and hot honey with a bed of ranch. It was my favorite starter there. The past dishes were their mushroom pasta dish and their braised short rib dish. I was impressed with both. The pasta tasted fresh and cooked perfectly. The mushroom dish comes with a half of burrata and truffle. They pack in mushrooms. Really delightful. The short rib pasta actually has chunks of beautifully braised short rib, which was really nice to see! Not all places actually give good portions of meat. Both came with a piece of garlic bread. For dessert, we got the peanut butter pie and tiramisu. Both were a great way to end the meal. The tiramisu tasted homemade. Definitely might be one of my new favorite spots.
