I have unfortunately never been impressed with Finn's, and after going once more after they reopened, it cemented that I will never return. Their service has been more than dismal every time. We waited 20 minutes for menus and another 20 to have our drink order taken. 45 minutes in we have our order taken and when it arrives, the sides for the meal were wrong. It took the waitress 25 minutes to come by again and ask how we are doing, and she said she would bring the correct side, but by the time she brought the right food, we were done with the main meal and ready for the check. Ridiculous. The only positive was the house chips were actually good this time, compared to being burnt and soggy/full of oil like every other time. Not sure how this place has become a local icon but I won't be returning.

Imagine if you will, an establishment in Ellsworth that does not make you enter a gauntlet of rainbow flags. Newsflash business owners, people are sick of posturing. How refreshing. Just needed some Irish music as food and drink were good.

Had the brunch there this morning. So good! The home made Bloody Mary mix was delicious. My wife had the Mimosa flight. I had the Hash Benedict and my wife had the Breakfast sandwich. Delicious!!!

Good selection of food. Great atmosphere - it “feels” Scottish. Average pricing. The service people were friendly. Clientele was varied. Everything from a woman with her quite aged mom to a biker looking guy. Parking is a bit dicey as it’s on Main St. It was clean. Good came out pretty quickly.

Great dinner and lunch at Finn's! Twice this week 😋 Both servers provided us food recommendations and took good care of us. Meatloaf dinner with potato salad and beets; Irish nachos appetizer (twice so good!), Cork chicken Ruben and friend has the Salt and Pepper haddock dinner with garlic mashed potatoes and beets. We enjoyed everything! Great flavors with the fish and meatloaf and the potato chips in the nachos we're thinking and crispy with bacon, sour cream, jalapenos, salsa and green onions. We had the extra bonus of hearing a few classic rock songs from the live band on Sunday evening too! We will be back for sure.

Irish Nachos
To say I was so saddened when Finns closed last year is an understatement. When I heard the news that it was back, and nothing was changed I was so excited. I finally was able to make it over there for a lunch date and wow. Not a thing different and the food still absolutely amazing. The service, amazing. I wouldn't recommend anywhere else in this area for a good lunch or beer on tap.

Lovely experience!
The chicken sandwich was incredibly delicious (if they sold whatever sauce they put on this, I’d buy a bottle). Shannon is a pro— a fantastic server! Wish we lived closer to explore the menu.
