My therapist told me there were 4 stages to my addiction with the Dixie Cream Donut Shop. First stage was when I saw the sign & stopped to buy one. Second stage was when I began stopping by a few times a week. Third stage began when I couldn't resist eating these donuts after every meal. I'm now in the 4th stage as I cannot stay away from the place. Know that these donuts are akin to street crack. You've been warned. Born and raised in this area, Dixie Cream has ALWAYS been my favorite. Moved to SWFL 10 years ago. Was in town for a visit, and had to let my wife try for the first time ever. Someone said Dixie cream donuts had closed in Valdosta, Georgia and then another person said they are open till 12:00 noon every day. This was my first time having these donuts and all I can say is “WOW!” These donuts were absolutely delicious! I had the chocolate cake donut of the day, a normal glazed donut, and a chocolate glazed donut. i tried my little sisters powered cake donut too. They were all amazing! I will be going back here again soon.
