Ordered take out from the online menu. Food was ready when we arrived. All the orders were prepared as expected. Overall the food was good. One of the chicken orders was so dry we didn’t finish it. We ordered Chicken 65, Tandoori chicken, Veg Manchurian, Gobi Manchurian, Lamb biryani, Kadai Paneer, garlic naan and roti. For desserts we had gulab jamun, rasmalai and double-ka-meeta. I have frequented this restaurant on more than four occasions, and unfortunately, a disheartening pattern has emerged that compels me to share my disappointment. Despite the remarkable food quality, stellar customer service, and impeccable cleanliness maintained by the hardworking staff, the consistent lack of involvement from the restaurant manager is an issue that cannot be overlooked. During each of our visits, even during peak hours, the manager, his name is Antony, not sure he is wearing black shirt all the times, was consistently observed sitting idle, merely delegating tasks to the already industrious staff. This repeated negligence of hands-on management during busy times raises concerns about the commitment and dedication of the managerial team. In a dining establishment, especially during bustling periods, one expects the manager to lead by example, actively participating in the operational tasks to ensure a seamlessly functioning team. It is disconcerting to witness the manager's nonchalant attitude while the rest of the team works diligently to maintain the restaurant's standards. As a loyal customer who values the overall experience, I urge the management to address this issue promptly. The exceptional efforts of the hardworking staff deserve to be complemented by an equally engaged and proactive managerial presence. I sincerely hope that this feedback is taken seriously to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence. Despite this concern, I must emphasize that the restaurant's other aspects, including the food quality, customer service, and cleanliness, have consistently been praiseworthy. Delightful experience at Deccan Spice! The flavors took my taste buds on a journey through authentic Indian cuisine. From aromatic curries to crispy dosas, every dish was a masterpiece. Courteous staff and cozy ambiance added to the joy. It's definitely a must-visit for food enthusiasts! We’re visiting here for the 3rd time today. The reason is simple, they serve some of the most authentic South Indian dishes that you probably will not get in any other restaurants around Naperville. The spices and flavors are very very close to the original recipes. My favorite dishes here are Goat Bheja 🧠 Fry and Chicken Chettinad. There biriyanis and pulavs are also not bad. This is one of the places where we intentionally order more so that we can pack some leftovers back home. 😄 Pro tip: To keep the authentic South Indian flavors, their spice level is as high as any typical restaurants in South India. Wow, my first Experience with Indian Cuisine and it was fantastic! So much variety and if you want it spicy, they make it spicy, you want it mild, it is mild! Absolutely amazing. Wonderful service and the Maharaja beer was outstanding as well. We had the tandoori platter, a lamb curry, a chicken curry, and a chicken Tiki Marsala. I don’t live in the area. I was just visiting a friend that I went to culinary school with. He recommended the place. Best food I’ve had in the Chicago area. Highly recommend it. Especially if you like spicy. And the service was amazing on top of everything else. Very friendly ladies - Lavanya, Vinni and Shivani. And very beautiful, inside and out! Will definitely be back next time I’m in Chicago. Everything was good, nothing wasn’t the best but I didn’t think anything was bad. The chicken tikka masala could be a little better. This was all plenty of food for two to share. We started off with a garlic naan, and shared the butter chicken, which was recommended by our server, I do recommend trying this dish, it was my favorite thing there. Every dish we ordered tasted sooooo amazing. Deliciously cooked. We booked our table in advance and we don’t have to wait, restaurant was very busy and people with no reservation had to wait 30 minutes long.
