Used this course as a middle point to golf with my father. We absolutely loved the course. Beautiful spot. Great clubhouse and a nice little proshop. Practice green is immense and has the same speed/roll as the greens on the course. There is a nice little range for a quick warm up as well. The course itself is very pretty. I think that it was established almost 100 years ago, so there are some really nice old trees and really nice contours.
There is decent rough that doesn't punish you too badly, but does make you think. The greens on the course receive spin really well and roll true and fast. The staff there is all very polite and helpful.
The only down side to the day was we were stuck behind a 5 some all day and they were stuck behind a REALLY slow 4 some. I would mark a star off for allowing a 5 some if they weren't actually faster than the group ahead of them. The back 9 was REALLY backed up because of that group with holes 12-18 all having 3 groups on the hole every time we stepped to the tee.
Highly recommend a stop at Darlington CC if you are looking for some golf in the area.
This is a great course that keeps improving. The greens are master level difficulty with undulations and crowing that call for careful planning on each approach. If you end up with a downhill putt and blow it, you could eaisly be off the green again. There is a great mix of challenges here.
You owe it to yourself to check out the Darlington Country Club for any event! Whether it is a birthday gathering, wedding event or shower, you will not regret it. From the time that I made my initial inquiry for my sister’s bridal shower, I was treated with great customer service! If I had questions or concerns before the event, the team was always available to answer any questions that I had. The venue provides several options for spacing, in and out and the Meeting Room accommodated our group wonderfully. The premises are well kept, and the grounds are beautiful. The grounds would serve wonderfully for outside events.
Not only was the food very good but the presentation of the food was perfect. Details made the difference, and the staff was very attentive to our group. Everyone approached us with a smile. Loved it! The group was comfortable and there were no complaints. Thank you, Tim, Nancy, Christine, Jim, and Darlington Country Club Staff for making this special occasion a wonderful event for my sister!

Our dinner/dance event was handled wonderfully by the DCC staff. They were all very accommodating and took care of our group with a high level of kind service.
Hundred year old golf course that has improved since last time I played it - facilities upgraded and course conditions have improved a lot - if fairways flesh out during warm months this will be a great addition to the courses of eastern SC that we like to play.
