My first time there sure won't be the last! The environment is very friendly from staff and lots of regular, local customers. Everything was very clean including the bathrooms. The kitchen staff were constantly attending and filling the buffet. Everything I ate was delicious! Even the deserts which aren't homemade were good. Lots of fruit too! Something for everyone. Nice location, plenty of parking space. Very good buffet bar with numerous selections of food/delicious desserts to choose from. Nice reasonable price. I have never been disappointed in my many visits to China Bay. They are consistent in the quality of their food and service. The establishment is always clean and their prices are reasonable for all you can eat buffet. I would like to address the negative remarks left by another contributor, Bryce Esau. His statement the restrooms are single toilets and if occupied one cannot wash your hands is completely untrue. The restrooms are spacious with a toilet stall, a divided urinal, and a separate lavatory. Mr Esau knew this because he has dined at the location previously, as evidenced by his comment they had a price increase. Additionally, I do not know how many people go to restaurants to eat having dirty hands or who could not use the lavatory even if the stall is occupied. It seems unbelievable anyone would walk next door to wash their hands if this is what Mr Esau would have you believe. Those who wish to leave negative feedback should at least be honest. Restaurants and other businesses often rely upon the reviews of others and dishonest, negative reviews can be detrimental to commerce. The food is good and there's many many options. Bathrooms definitely need expansion. I had to walk across the parking lot to Speedway to find an open bathroom. There is just a single toilet in each bathroom. Therefore if you need to wash your hands and someone is in there, that's not an option. They recently went up on prices and so is no longer a "reasonably cheap bite" but food is good enough I will go back still. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Let’s just say I was shocked!!! This place is a hidden gem!!!! Chocowinity NC … some of the best Chinese I’ve ever had!!!! Can’t wait to go back… seriously!!!!! Loved that buffet!! Whoever is running this place is doing a great job and has a great team. Service is pleasant and the food is extremely way better than 90% of other places out there. This place is a favorite spot now. Hopefully they maintain and keep improvements down the road for this business. Definitely recommend it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The Buffett had a large variety of choices. We walked in and were greeted and seated immediately. Drink service was speedy and we went right to the Buffett. The restaurant appeared neat and clean with staff generally cleaning as they went along. Our plates were cleared from the table quickly and the value for the meal was what you’d expect. The food was delicious and we will definitely return!

China Bay restaurant in chocowinity Nc is open for buffet and has a cook on the grill to cook hibachi to order. The food is excellent and service is excellent. You can build your own Habachi plate. Handicap parking is available and easily accessible to the restaurant. Large dining area spread out makes it easy to access the wheelchair in the dining area. High chairs are available for small children. Fruit bar and desert bar to include a excellent salad bar. Went here to eat with my family and my sister saw a bug in the zucchini on the hibachi bar. Once she moved the tongs to see if it was a ROACH which she thought it was. Sure enough that is what was inside the pan. She informed the worker and I informed the guy at the register. We did not continue to eat there. ... I know a lot of restaurants owners do not pay professional exterminators but that will help with the roach problem. Noone should have to eat with ROACHES in their food.

Decent amount of food. Was very clean and the nice workers cleaned and checked up on you often. Food looked fresh and good. Oh and if you are going to keep going (as you should) ask for a punch card so you can get a free meal. I got pictures, was good eating there again.
